SHIT!! How to open primoteston ampoules for god sake

DAMN.. I hate those wide necked amps ! I broke one the other day in my hand... It seems the only way I could open them is:
placing the amp against a sink edge (or any hard edge like a table) and strike a hammer against the very upper amp head.

But it's risky because of injections and the possibility of injecting yourself a small glass particle that goes into the 19"g niddle.

Somone suggested I use an ampoule file, but god I don't even know that's that thing is??? I tried gettin an ampoule opener from pharmacies and even a doctor who works at a hospital, but none had any! They said they used to have a little 'knife like' device for cutting the neck but it's ancient and not in use anymore (amps now get with an easy to open neck).

ANY HELP ?

knife

use a kitchen knife through the borders of the neck. Saw it for a while, after while, just pop the top of the amp and it should come up nicely. Hope this helps.

At any hardware store, buy a "rat tail file", a thin three-sided file. These are ideal for scoring hard-to-open amps.

good idea, I am off to the hardware store. Kitchen knives are a pain in the ass sometimes.

Amp Opening 101

1.Use a nail or small triangle file score the neck
2. Take a Bic pen cap and put over amp neck
3. Take paper towel in one hand and amp in other and snap!
4. Shoot in glute!

That ends today's lesson

What your reffering to is a triangular file. Rat tail files are cylindrical.

Another idea is to buy yourself a glass cutter to score the amp. Hobby shops, hardware stores, and lamp shops have these. Some are shaped like a pen and perfect for this.

If you don't want to go out and buy anything special, just find a pair or scissors. Lightly cut on the neck of the amp over and over again. It is just like using a knife I guess, but to me it was easier.
