Hey there, I'm brand new here but I have a lot of experience with mail ordering and the workings of the postal system. This is very true about holiday hold ups at the post office. Have you ever walked into a major post office at christmas and tried to make it to the counter on your lunch break? You may as well have brought your lunch to eat while you wait. Your dinner too for that matter.
It is an ideal time for making larger and more risky shipments. Packages are bulldozed through the postal system as fast as humanly possible and are rarely held up for any reason, except maybe an error in the address. Remember, these postal workers are just people too and at that time of year, everyone has the holidays on their minds, vacation fever, and they are extremely overworked exhausted. I think there is a subconscious element here too where we get in the mindset that the year is almost over and we only have to make it through a few more days. Long pointless story short, it is THE safest time of the year for sketchy shipments. Just make sure your order looks simple. The ones that get stpped up are the ones that are registered and require signatures. Blend man, blend in and dissapear!
