Shin splints - Big Country

BG,

First, that is a kick ass time in the 40. Better than my best. Keep it up and you may go pro.

As to the shin splints - I always fought them too. The one thing that finally helped is arch supports. If the splints are on the inside, try more arch support. If outside, try less arch support.

Hope that helps some. I know others on the board probably fight them too that's why I posted it here.

wtf? I have that too! I thought I was the only one... lol. It's my left arm only and it won't go away.

I used to get them when I first started lifting. It's more likely stress fracture than a shin splint. Use the ez bar instead of the straight for awhile. Or just back off on weight. They would hurt like hell especially AFTER putting the bar down.

I've been lifting for a long time but this pain only started in that past 6 months. I haven't done any curls, ez or straight in over a year so it must be something else I'm doing. I do 100's of pull-ups each month... maybe it's that? Either way, I need to get it looked at soon. It’s f’n excruciating.

I never knew of anyone with an ass joint, a 1st for me! Do you have some sort of extended anal canal wit a joint in it to direct the flow? CRAZY MAN, CRAZY!

hahaha^^^
but ya i got the shin splints in my forearm (left) as well, alittle bit of pain when lifting but once i release my grip on the bar OOOO BOY i feel like my arm is cracking in half. Anyone find any solution to this, i find it makes it a bit easier to put the weight all on the corner of my hand between thumb and forefinger.
