I actually shave with a beard trimmer with no guard... I get ingrown hairs easily... when i do shave i use TENDSKIN and it keeps ingrowns to a minimum

It's ok to go against the grain if you only shave like once in three days. You should always go with the grain first.....that'll prevent hairs from being yanked out. That's what I do....the three day interval gives the skin time to heal, as well as preventing bleeding that occurs w/ shorter stubble. And when you do go against the grain w/ mad stubble, it gives the SMOOTHEST shave. Takes me about 20 minutes each time I shave (I have a goatee, which increases time shaving around it and trimming it). As far as ingrown hairs, it's that your skin isn't used to shaving. Once you do it a few times, the skin will get accustomed to it, and it will adjust. Girls love that baby ass smooth skin feeling.
