If it makes u feel better faded, I think that LCD is the way to go.

I just had my less than 2 year old plasma tv go out on me (thats why i bought a new one) and come to find out, lots of ppl's plasma tv's are pieces of shit.

i got a 32 inch lcd in my master on the wall and it looks great..

I will have had my large one in the living room for almost 2 years in Nov. and the other one for 2 years in Dec. Bought the one for the bed room right after the first. I figured if I keep it for 4-5 years it will be worth it. By then the next hot shit will be out and I will be getting that. Like cars... Trade up ever 3 years.

I still have a 57 inch Sony rear projection (tube) tv.

That thing is old school as far as bigscreens go, but the technology is unbeatable and I love it.

It will probably last 50 more years, lol. I can turn it off and on as much as I want and never have to fear burn in, dead pixels, poor contrast, low lamp, etc.

Sure it's bulky and heavy, but I can live with it.

you can't get 1080 p on any other tv just letting you know..

1080 is the best, but they say the Samsung with the DLP technology is better than Sharp, but to the naked eye you won't be able to tell.
