Severe Injection site swelling

I hit 1cc of Deca in my right quad and one day later I had severe pain and swelling across my entire mid thigh/quad area. The pain and swelling is almost gone 3 days later but I have no fucking idea what could cause that to happen. Doeas anybody out there know something about this kind of thing? Please help as I want to avoid this kind of thing happening again.

You could have knicked a nerve, or the gear could have a high BA content. It is hard to tell but it happens every now and again bro.

You did not hit a nerve, did you use sterile technique, what kind of deca did you inject, did you inject anything else, eg test, what size pin NEEDLE, did you use, what size needle did you draw with?

Could be a lot of things. Your primary concern should be an abcess-basically an infection of the injection site that if left untreated for too long could develop Staph and possibly kill you. I know 2 guys this happened to-both ended up in the hospital for weeks and it pretty much ended their competition days. If it's growing, red and hot to the touch for more than 2-3 days you might need to go to the Dr for injectable antibiotics. Orals will not penetrate the abcess w/o a kick start from a stronger injectable anti-b. Also if you develop a fever, feel dizzy, etc it's defitely ER time.

I had an abcess treated at urgent care. It costed me around $300 w/ Rx's.

I swab the vial top with alcohol, draw with a 23 guage, 1 inch needle and shoot with a 26 guage 1/2 inch needle. I hit LSP Decabolon 300mg/ml alone, nothing else in the area or in the syringe. I swab the area with alcohol pad and use another one as i withdraw the pin. I shold mention that i have been injecting myself off and on for 5 years safely and this is my first time using 26 guage pins and getting this kind of pain. Anything else you might

Yeah you need a longer pin for sure. BA is a Benzyl Alcohol, used to keep gear sterile. Sometimes people use too much when making gear and it makes it sting more and irritate the tissues.

good info!!! How long after an inject would one notice a sign of an infection/abcess???
