Serra vs GSP 2! Thoughts?

People seem to dislike Serra and everything because he has a mouth and whatnot. Personally, I find him funny. Matt Hughes does seem to act like a dick alot of times, lol.

Well, who do you think will win. Is there any chance Serra can get the win, again? I think Georges is going to be fighting with a ton of pressure fighting in Canada and once again, I think Serra will be fighting with a nothing to lose attitude?

I think this fight will end up on the ground. BJJ advantage = Serra, Wrestling = GSP. Striking, I don't know. I personally think they are both decent at striking.

I am gonna go with the upset. The pressure of GSP fighting in his home town gets to him and he makes a mistake. Serra gets the win.

serra beat gsp one time so why not again?? but i wouldn't bet on it cause when gsp loses he comes back so much better. he never makes the same mistakes but who know... this is MMA and anything can happen!

but my money is on GSP!!!

In what kind of condition is Serra's back? He herniated a disk not long ago which is why Hughes and GSP fought for the interim welterweight title. I think this will be a much better and more tactical fight than the first. I'm going to guess GSP takes a victory in a standup fight with a late TKO.

If I was a betting guy and the payout looked good for Serra, I would put money on Serra though.

I'm assuming his back is at 100 % recovery. But the thing is, didn't he have surgery? Maybe im wrong. But if he did, he no doubt had some down time. Will he be in shape, or will he be tubby. This is a 5 round fight which prolly wont go the distance, but it's possible. I dont think serra has the wind for 5 rounds.

GSP by submission

The big change in GSP is his wrestling and he totally put Matt Hughes on his back the whole fight. And then made him tap and mat is the captain of the "ground and pound mma" team! The captain of the Ground and Pound mma team was grounded and pounded then submitted by GSP

I disagree with you guys who think GSP will GnP or tap Serra. In the first fight, Serra pressured GSP on the feet and it seemed like GSP had difficulty fighting off the backfoot. Serra may have exposed GSP's weakness: you need to pressure him back instead of trying to bait GSP into your fight Every one who has done that found out GSP is too versatile in offense to take him out of the game. Penn put GSP on the backfoot in round 1 and took it using a similar strategy. Serra is going to come at GSP again and I think we will see a stand-up war.

I tihnk it's gonna happen. Serra will be submitted by the new wrestling skills of GSP.
Serra will try to get inside the kicks which will leave him vulnerable to the takedown. GSP took down Matt Hughes at will at the sem time blocked Matt's takedowns. I was really impressed with his new skills. I think the kicks of GSP will open up Serra to the takedown and submission

GSP's wrestling skills aren't new, he's had them for a while. Kos and Hughes both sat and waited for GSP. They never pressured him. They let GSP dictate the pace and lost. I would bet that both Hughes and Kos are better wrestlers if you look at the skills as separate from others. The problem with facing GSP's offense, like Fedor's, is GSP can transition and integrate all elements into a smooth package and use them simultaneously so you do not know which element he is going to use. Frank Shamrock was probably the first of this kind of fighter and he found great success. Frank was athletic and great at nothing, but good at everything and could integrate all the skills simultaneously.
