In most cases of diabetes I've heard of, the other main symptom is extreme thirst all the time, and peeing gallons every few minutes. But I'm no doctor, so I agree with getting at least a glucose level test, or just find a friend who is diabetic, and use their test device (they use disposable lancets and disposable test strips, so no disease risk on borrowing the machine). Test it before eating anything in the morning, or at least 4 or 5 hours after eating, and that will be your low level. Then test again about 10 minutes after eating, and that will be a peak level. It maybe should be around 70-80 hungry, and shouldn't be higher than 120 or so after a meal. If it shoots up to 160 or 170, or crashes below 40 or 50 with no food for hours, then you might be pre-diabetic or type II diabetic.
BUT: There are MANY other causes for blood sugar to be all SNAFU'd. For instance, I have hypoaldosteronism, which screws up all hormone levels including insulin, so I test positive for diabetes when I don't have it.
PLEASE at least do a quick test to verify that your blood sugar isn't a big issue. Sometimes the first symptom in a bad case of diabetes, is that you get tired, take a nap, which goes into a coma, and that's the end... My friend's wife died that way. But I'm not trying to scare you, as her case was super-rare, and probably had other underlying causes. I just think it's smart to listen to your body, and prevent anything that's preventable ;-)
