Serious penis issue

I posted this on the medical board but it doesn't look like that forum gets much traffic so since it concerns my penis, I'll try posting it on the sex board. Here goes:

Ok, I'll start out by confessing that my penis is a bit smaller than average. It's about 5.1 inches (approx 13 cm) when erect. My issue is that it stays shrivelled up all day. It looks like a stack of dimes from the number of folds. I know that shrivelling is a common reaction to temperature extremes and stress (both physical and mental). If my penis constantly stays shrivelled up, does that mean I'm under too much stress? I've noticed that when I'm drunk or smoking weed and relaxing, my penis and scrotum hang nice and lose. This is about the only time I see my genitals in this state. It looks much better having my flaccid penis hanging 3.5 inches.

Seriously, beyond aesthetic issues, could there be something wrong with me that causes my penis to stay shrivelled up so much of the day?

Please don't make fun of my thread. I'm asking this as a serious question. This isn't something that I have the confidence to talk to my doctor about.

God I hope not, mine does the same thing. I think it's actually a medical condition. I know Howard Stern has it because he's talked about it. Nothing to be ashamed of though. I'm proud to say I'm a grower and not a shower. Most women actually think it's neat since they like to make him grow

and yes, its a good informal benchmark to tell you you're stressing out, but its not indicative of any medical abnormality in and of itself as far as I know.

yes it is, but there is also a cascade of other hormones being released (plus the physical stimulation) that more than compensates for the adrenalines vasoconstitive effects on mr. happy.

dont know - the answer would be yes in a vacuum since adrenaline is a vasoconstrictor, and an erection is a result of vasodialation, but the adren may also be a trigger for some of the other hormone cascades.

so it may not work in reverse, but adrenaline/epinephrine/ephedrine/etc etc are vasoconstrictors that reduce blood supply to extremities (and genitalia) and, colloquially, shrivel your stuff up.

try some otc ephedrine 30 mg you'll see what I mean (ephedrine is a pretty close analogue to adrenaline). what i'm saying here isnt speculation, its science.

p.s. btw, lots of otc sex aids have some form of herbal relaxers like passion flower or gaba in them.

I used to obsess over the fact that I was a bit on the small size. Of course I know most men will lie about their size. But that still left me seeing nothing but pornography where the men are selected because of their above average size. I had a sexual encounter once and let's just say that a bisexual guy saw my erection. He told me that I looked pretty average or maybe just a tad smaller, to him but it was nothing significant.

There was a condom manufacturer that did a scientific survey of erect penis sizes. They had their own people do the measuring of the test subjects instead of relying on self reported measurements. I think they came up with an average of 5.75 inches. Ninety percent of the subjects fell between 5-7".

Anyway, I'm not as self conscious as I used to be.

Years ago I used to be concerned about this. But after years of barracks living, then years of gym change rooms I realized I'm not that bad. I had a few experiences where i saw other men erect and flaccid, too. I've come to my own conclusion that therre are 2 main types of guys. Everybody conforms to some extent. Some guys are nearly the same size all the time, the only differrence is rigidity. & some guys are sleepers, or turtle heads. Their size changes along with rigidity.

Sex is only a part of life and penis size is only a small part of sex.
Don´t go denying that most the time and up to a certain point, its better to be bigger though because that sounds desperate and is based on nothing.

penis size is just one in a very long list of qualities a man can have or lack, in life but even in sex.

somehow most guys find it easier to get over the fact that their memory sucks, they´re a lousy speaker, are short or have an ugly nose or whatever than if they have a small penis. Something big and instinctive there.

I bet most women prefer a shortdicked Greek athletic God with a good personality over fat hairy short balding Ron Jeremy with a big dick though.

Mine´s supposedly of normal length and on the thick side(cant get a normal condom around the head at all). I don´t know if any of the studies are reliable though.

I would never consider the current surgical procedure. They leave you with a non functioning weiner with a scar above it. On top of that, supposedly the increase isn't all tham much any way.

Honestly, I hope they don't perfect a sugical procedure for penis size. Very few men have such small penises that they aren't functional. I really don't like how our culture makes people so insecure over parts of their body that can't be controlled. It's one thing to be self conscious because you're too fat since that's something correctable with diet and exercise for a normal person, but to be so damned self conscious over something that can't be controlled is absurd.

And I'm not a hypocrite either. I'm against women getting boob jobs. It's ok if she's had a masectomy or if it's for other reconstructive reasons, but to have a foreign object inserted in your body so you can attract attention is messed up. I'll admit that big breasts look good on some women (Jennifer Love Hewitt), but I'm not obsessed about it. Small perky boobs can be great as well.

My advice FWIW is to get over that fear of talking to your doctor or find another one you feel comfortable with.
