semi formal

This is my first high school dance (im in grade 12) and its a semi formal. Any ideas on what to wear and what not to wear? Im tall and huge! lol, well, im the most buff person in the school. Any ideas on what will look good? Also, any tips on getting a few dances in?

for us semi formal meant not a tux,so id buy a suit maybe like this

is date wanting u to wear a certain color?

well id check out express for men.. nice shirt and tie combinations for cheap and wont be the very average boring white shirt and blue tie combo and also express is quite cheap too.. 20 bux or so for a button down and ties there are cheap. or if u gotta no budget.

I remember the days when it was called Structure...and the clothes were more masculine.

If he's tall then he won't be able to shop at Express. All of their shirts are WAY too short on me (6'7"). Find out what color/style your date is wearing and pick something that complements her attire.

I have my outfit. Dark blue pants, lighter blue button up shirt, navy tie with stripes. What do you think of that?

Also, any tips on starting a conversation?

LOL when i read the thread title i imagined a room full of men in tuxedos, with erections

anyway, im a fan of the black single breasted suit, with a collared shirt on the inside without a tie, not buttoned too high. shirt should be white, an ashy maroon, or nice grey imo. none of this bright yellow or salmon colored bullshit you see here and there

id post a pic of myself in it, but i dont want to give anyone a complex
