i first heard this song sung by jo stafford, from my parent's fifties's record collection; but ANY slow song by the late, great miss patsy cline "melts my butter" as we say here in nawlinz.

Patsy Cline is a true legend...I close friend who was in Talley's Folly with me played her in a stage production...now I knew Sara could sing..she does a DEAD-ON Janis Joplin....but DAMN - she gave me chills....

i am told that during the filming of "coal miner's daughter" beverly diangelo's portrial of patsy cline was so dead on it gave shivers to those who knew patsy in person.

i didn't "find" patsy cline's music until the early 80's, once again, going thru my parent's album collection. the first time i heard "crazy" and "i fall to pieces" it was like an electric current had been shot thru me. i played those 2 songs several times, not knowing what huge crossover hits they had been over 20 years earlier.

when i asked my father about them he just smiled at me and said "history repeats itself".

god, do i miss the ol' man!!!!!!!
