Secure e-mail procedure

I see that messages sent and received within our in house encrypted email system often are un-secured.

Can someone tell me how to enable the security function when composing and sending? I realize that the status of incoming message security is beyond my control, though I would assume I can see, before opening a message, how it has been sent?

I apologize for my ignorance in advance, the answers may be right in front of me as I get aquainted with hushmail. Please indulge me as it's Monday, I hate my job and I'm quite stupid and lazy.

Thank you for your time.

If it comes from any other account (ie hotmail, aol, etc) it will not be "secure". It's only secure e-mail if sent via another hushmail/elitefitness account and that user clicked on the "send securely" button. That's how you send encrypted when composing a message. Just click on "send securely" and "send signature". It will then encrypt your message and attach your signature. Again, this will only work to other e-mail accounts that accept encrypted e-mail and use the same algorithms such as hushmail/elitefitness. When sending to other non encrypted e-mail accounts it will tell you that it cannot send securely.

Let me know if I'm way off on what you're asking. Like you said, it's Monday.
