though i took the steelers giving the points i think it's clear that seattle was playing more then just the steelers...

ticky tack offensive PI, awful holding call on the pass to the one, horrible touchdown on that review (no fucking way did that ball cross), and the tackle hasslebeck made was clean (you cant go through someone to make a tackle low after a pick, but you can hit the carrier low if you dont go through someone elses knees).

seattle played like ass. too many dropped balls, they deserved to lose.

Really? I do think Stevens should be shot and raped for dropping so many passes, but overall I don't think they played any worse than the Stealers.

Both played like shit. Not enough emotion for the big game.

the holding call was the sketchiest of the 3, the offensive pass interference was pass interference any way you look at it. he broke the rule and whether or not he broke it alot or a little u cant argue that. Roethlisberger touched the line, period.... it was damn close but there is no way you can reverse that call. if you do its 4th and a nanometer....... seattle was not robbed, they made stupid mistakes and they lost. steelers played poorly and still beat seattle by a good margin..... makes you think who te better team is!

Reverse that holding call, SA runs it into the end zone. 17-14 game.

Completely changes everything.

good point, rothliswhatever touched the line, the ball did not... 4th and an inch is better then 7 points.

bro the shoe was on the other foot x 10 vs indianapolis..

Um, that was ONE call. And pittsburgh still won. Had they lost based on that call, you would be crying like a bitch.

no, the refs handed the colts the game... absolutely handed it to them and they choked.... but i still say the refs were just as bad today.

those two calls were not even in the same ballpark. not even close.... the holding was QUESTIONABLE... not wrong.... the int in the colts game was BLATANT AND WRONG...... questionable is 50/50..... big difference

Just my opinion here, but I think it's UBER lame to sit there and cry about one team or another "getting robbed". It's part of the game people! EVERY team out there can say that the refs sucked, the calls were bad, the refs were paid off, blah blah blah. But the fact of the matter is this.....IT'S PART OF EVERY GAME. It's no different than a team playing shitty or out playing the other team, or losing the game because of penalties, it's all part of the game, always has been always will be. So quit cryin' and just go have a friggin' beer.

i didnt care one bit about who won... but it just seemed like the steelers were going to win, no matter what seattle did.

you're a steeler fan, aren't you? the holding was not questionable, it was not a hold. that right there would have tobally changed the game, as they would have had the ball on the 1 yard line. rothlisburger did not get the ball over the goal line, and it was blatant and wrong. and in the indy game, the question on that interception is what is a football move. cause you gotta catch the ball and then make a football move to be a catch and then a fumble, so that actually is questionable. ya, i thought it was an interception and fumble, but there is no set definition for a football move, and the ref thought it was not a football move. and the pass interference penalty was ticky tacky and is hardly ever called, especially not in a big game like this.

btw, i'm not a seattle or steeler fan, i'm just telling you how a non biased person would see the plays.

dude sorry but you are a moron..

no one talks about the plays that were probably fumbles for seattle but were paid little attention to becuz the steelers still had the lead.... or the fact that the game was won by a relatively large margin and you can argue all you want...... but seattle was outcoached and seattle made mistakes.

L Money said:

It was a hold. You can't grab a defensive player outside the arms and spin him halfway around and nearly rag him down. It was obviously a hold. Even the 20 or so Seahawks fans that I was stuck watching the game acknowledged that one on the replay. One of them even saw it BEFORE the pass was thrown.

L Money said:

the ball was past the line. Happened while Roeth was up in the air before he came down. TD. Even if the Steelers don't get that TD and kick a field goal, guess what? Final Score: Steelers 17, Seahawks 10. Oops.

L Money said:

What the fuck? The league APOLOGIZED and already admitted that the call was wrong.

the call was pretty consistent throughout the year. If you toss it up and the 2 players jump for it, if one gets his hand on the other, it's interference. If you use your body to block the other while going up for the ball, no interference.

ya bro you're actually right.. everyone would def want to see the patriots in the superbowl for the 3rd year in a row.. moron..

'HAWKS HAVE RIGHT TO CRY FOUL

We'll need to preface these remarks by saying that we're glad the Steelers won the Super Bowl. The Steelers are a first-class organization in a first-rate town. Yours truly grew up an hour from the 'Burgh, went to college there, and started out in the practice of law there.

And the Steelers earned this one, the hard way. Sixth seed, winning three games against quality teams on the road to get to the championship game.

With all that said, the Seattle Seahawks have every right to believe that they got screwed by the zebras. We're into our fifth year now, and this game provoked the biggest flood of e-mails we've ever received.

So as we raise a lukewarm plastic cup of Iron City to the Stillers, we have to agree that the game was poorly officiated, in various ways. Although we're reluctant to proclaim that the fix was in, Pittsburgh linebacker Joey Porter's pissing-and-moaning from three weeks ago is ironic, to say the least, following a Super Bowl in which any of the 53 men in the Seattle locker room would be able to make the same claim about the refs wanting Jerome Bettis and the Steelers to win that Porter made regarding his belief that the officials hoped to deliver Peyton Manning and the Colts to Detroit.

Here's a sampling of the e-mails that flooded our box:

1. "I am not a Steelers or Seahawks fan, but I have to say that this was one of the worst officiated Super Bowls I've seen in a long time. Sad to see the refs have an impact on what would have been a great game."

2. "Okay, I'm on the bandwagon now. That appeared to be one of the worst
officiated Super Bowls I've seen. The call that were made were ticky
tack (on both teams), and plenty of apparent calls were missed. Professional officials. What a novel concept."

3. "This Super Bowl sucks. As fans, we want to see a real game. The refs are CLEARLY handing this game to the Steelers. Your scoop on Sports Illustrated already having the Steelers retrospective printed up just seals it for me. I don't know if SI is part of a conspiracy, or if they just know how the NFL operates. A Steelers win equals more revenue for the NFL, in terms of merchandise. Holmgren should've taken that into consideration when he was offered the Seattle job."

4. "The NFL should be embarrassed. And I am an impartial fan. I didn't care who won but I sure didn't want to see it happen that way."

5. "Please for the love of GOD write something about the horrible officiating in the game today. Granted I'm a little biased and wanted the 'Hawks to win but if they lost I'd been fine if the Steelers were the better team. THEY WEREN'T and we played against the officials all night. Please say something about this injustice!"

Here's one we found to be particularly compelling:

---------------------------------------------

I don't know who else I can vent on, so you're getting it. I apologize, but I don't know who else. I seriously don't. So here goes:

This Super Bowl was it. I'm done now. I'm through watching football. I've had it.

This was the worst officiated professional game I have ever watched -- the most one-sided, I mean. And it happened on the biggest game of the year. The two teams did not determine the winner of that game today; the referees did.

So I'm through. I quit on the NFL. Screw them. If that's the best they can do, I quit.

I've got other hobbies I can pursue.

Look, I am not a Seahawks fan. I was not a fan of either team.

But sonuvabitch-------Roethlisberger's PHANTOM TOUCHDOWN???? That was the hugest phantom touchdown I have seen since Vinny Testaverde pulled one of those off.

And when Hasselbeck connected with TE Jerramy Stevens to the one yard line late in the third quarter, those asshole zebras throw a holding flag -- and it was one of those borderline holding calls that could literally BE CALLED ON ALMOST EVERY DAMN PASSING PLAY.

Look, I came to watch a game, a game between football players. I didn't come to watch a crew of striped-shirted old men determine the outcome of a game.

F those guys. I'm out. The hell with football. I no longer trust it.

There was no 2005 champion. If the Steelers had won it, I'd say so. But the zebras won it, for 60 consecutive minutes. Again, I am not a Seahawks fan. I just care about the integrity of the game. I feel sick. I'm out. Maybe for good. The hell with it.

---------------------------------------------

Damn. Here's some more.

6. "I'm a long time reader and supporter of your site and I would love to
voice my disgust of the dubious refereeing decisions of tonight's game: (1) Darrell Jackson's push-off -- "The Playmaker" would have had half of his career TD's called back if they had called them like that in his day; (2) I still don't know how Ben broke the plane of the goal line with his TD; The holding call that would have made it first and goal from the one -- very dubious!"

7. "Where's that big time wrestling channel. Joey Porter better shut his yap about the officials cheating the Steelers. They cheated their way to a World Title tonight."

8. "How about that officiating in the Super Bowl? Worst Super Bowl I've ever seen. Why did the NFL decide Pittsburgh would get this one? The third and six delay of game. Those holding calls (especially the one nullifying Stevens' catch to the one). The personal foul for illegal chop block on Hasselbeck MAKING A TACKLE. The offensive PI against Jackson. I am sick to my stomach right now, and I didn't even care who won. (Not a fan of either team, no money riding)."

9. "No one could have beaten the Steelers tonight, and it's not because they are playing especially well. Seattle is playing against 11 Steelers and however many officials are on the field. This is embarrassing to watch, and Pittsburgh should be embarrassed to win like this. Every pivotal play was negated against Seattle with some bullsh-t call, which would then be followed by a breakdown by Seattle players who obviously were shaken up by such a bullsh-t call. That touchdown that Roethlisberger had makes me wonder why we have replays as much or more so than the Polamalu call that you called the worst call ever. If the NFL is going to run its officiating with such bias like the NBA or MLB, then they might as well drop the salary cap too. Why do people go to games in cities like Seattle or Sacramento when they only get repeatedly f--ked in the ass by their respective leagues?"

10. "The REAL MVP was the referee crew. They took the game from Seattle and gave it to the Steelers. Don't get me wrong, I was pulling for Pittsburgh but I didn't want to see them win like that. The Seahawks were the more dominant team (although, not by much). Kinda seems weird to me that
just recently everyone was griping about the NFL trying to give a game to
Colts. Is it just me or is this the new trend in the NFL? Bitch and moan
to get it your way."

11. "You were one of the few national writers to pick the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl, and they were obviously the better team tonight. You mentioned 'raw will of players' and 'coaching adjustments,' but you forgot one major factor in the NFL . . . the zebras."

12. "Want to break a huge story? Why don't you use your connections and see who organized the Steelers Super Bowl fix? That would be the biggest story ever."

13. "Can you please, please acknowledge the horsesh-t calls in this game? This is the worst SB I have ever seen when it comes to officiating. Where are the calls on the Steelers?? This deserves to be mentioned and I am a Dolphins fan."

Here's another long one that caught our eye:

---------------------------------------------

I don't give a flying f--k about the Steelers or the Seahawks. Furthermore, I
didn't have any money on this game, so I really had no investment in the outcome.

THAT said, the way the zebras railroaded the Seahawks was unforgivable. The pass interference on the end zone? The holding call that turned first and goal on the two to second and 20 from the 40? The BS cutblock call on Hasselbeck? The fact that the Steelers never, EVER got called for holding when the holding calls (at key points in the game) that went against the Hawks were marginal at best?

As a FOOTBALL fan, all I could think about was two weeks of "feel good" Jerome Bettis and Bill Cowher stories, an old boys network owner, and all those photos of players holding the Lomardi, which it seemed like they were only showing Steelers in the first half and showed Steelers 65% of the time in the second half.

The whole thing stunk. 'Cause at this point, although September is a good seven months away, it's going to be hard to get excited about a league that has developed the best product on earth, only to piss away their integrity when everyone is watching.

---------------------------------------------

Again, we don't think the fix was in. But there were more than a few times when the Steelers fans with whom yours truly watched the game looked around and said, "We got away with one there."

More to come in our Super Bowl XL Ten-Pack, which we'll post later on Monday.

seahawks got shafted that's an understatement anyone who can't see that either is a pitt fan or knows nothing about the sport

having a bunch of people bitch doesn't mean anything, again there were some calls that maybe were not blatant enough for your liking..... but THEY WERE RULES THAT WERE BROKEN.. the only call that was wrong IMO was the hasselback tackle... which wasn't the end of the world. the hold WAS A HOLD (maybe not the worst of holds but it doesn't matter, its a hold), the PI WAS PI.... no intelligent person can argue that. and roethlisberger's td was so close the other side of ball could not be seen... you have to think it was in and no one can argue that it wasn't as there is no proof. maybe you would like to see it more clearly go accross the line but loook at what part of the ball is visible, a tucked away portion of the ball could have easily crossed the line during the 2 second flirt with it. and once the call on the field says its a touchdown certainly not enough evidence to overturn it. if the call on the field was the other way I would not expect it to get overturned as its too close.

long story short..... bitching about calls that probably made little differnece is stupid. as everyone knows that scores affect playcalling and whos to say even if the calls went the seahawks way they would win.....

haha i'm sure those aren't all seahawks fans wasting their time writing huge bitchfests about two teams they dont' even give a fuck about ... riiiiiiight... plain in simple seahawks didn't even deserve to be in teh fucking superbowl they were in a horrible division that blew cock.. with that being said they should be happy they got their ass kicked on a bad performance by the steelers..

how come I keep hearing "pitt didn't play well"
wtf?
you think the guys in green could get some credit for that?
pitt played poorly because they were getting beat in many phases of the game

guys in green allowed a 75 yard td run.. guys in green fell for a trick play pitt used 8 weeks ago..

ben's mistakes were not due to good coverage or good pressure. ike taylor's poor coverage was his own fault or coaches. Take these out of the game it changes alot. They said that having new balls every play will affect ben alot more then hasselback due to hasselback playing so often with rain. who knows but ben's inability to make the touch passes hes used to are what caused both picks, two underthrown balls with little pressure does not equal the seahawks being good.

steelers play like they did in the superbowl against any other team they have faced in the playoffs they lose.... mb goes to show u how inferior the nfc was this year, hopefully next year it will be different. IMO as long as you have an AFC-NFC matchup this year it would not have been a good game...... we gave the game to the seahawks on a platter and they couldn't handle it, ignore the calls..... if the seahawks were all they were hyped up to be they would have won. period

1. Second half wasn't even close.
2. Cowher would've gone for the TD on the Roeth miscall.
3. If you want to talk about a bad call look at the Polamalu INT in Colts game.
4. Pitt would've won regardless of the errors.

Get over it. The season is over. We are all undefeated now.

Phaded said:

That trick play worked because it was perfectly executed. Most plays will work if perfectly executed.

Hell that was about the only truly perfect deep pass of the game.

Pitt would have won by 40 if Roth threw like that.

Okay, let me break this game down for all you ignorant Stealers fans. The season is over and I could care less about this game now, but I feel like it's my duty to show how stupid you are.

First bad call - Djack's PI. Granted, this was a pretty close call, but if you look at the replay, his "push off" gives him absolutely 0 advantage in catching that pass. The defender was frozen, he had no shot. The large majority of the time, this goes uncalled in the nfl. And in the biggest game of the year, that should be no different. Let them play. - 4 points for Hawks.

2nd bad call. Rothlisandwhichs TD. This was close. I actually didn't give a shit about this call, even though I was 90% sure he didn't get across. So, for the sake of giving you shitheads something, I'll let this pass.

3rd bad call - The holding on Locklear. Not only was this NOT holding, but some fucker on the stealers was offsides, meaning it was a free play for the seahawks. To the idiot who thinks it was a hold - learn the game of football. Even the great John Madden agreed on that one. - 7 points (99% SA goes for the td on the 1)

4th bad call. The hassleback "low block." What? The? Fuck? Are you kidding me? Fuck it, I don't even have to get into this one. Anyone who's not a blind asshole can see that this was bullshit. + good field position for Stealers.

Now, the holding/lack of offsides was the biggest beef I had in the game. This basically cost the hawks 7 points, which would have put them up 17-14. Giving them back the momentum with 2 td's in a row and canceling out the good field position/touchdown of the Stealers. And if you don't think momentum is important in football, then you've either never played or you're a fucktard.

Now, with all this into consideration - I think the game would have been at the VERY LEAST (I'd be giving the Stealers a lot of credit on this one) a 21-17 Stealers victory. If that was the case, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me. However, more likely it would have been an OT game which could have gone either way, Or Hawks would have pulled out a squeeker.

Now, I'm sure you idiots will come on here and say I'm just a whiney Seahawk fan, and you'd be right.

But I speak the truth.

- 4 points for Hawks.

you guys beat yourselves.. two missed field goals .. your trash talking tight end dropped like 5 fucking passes... horrible clock management.. horrible coaching.. (6 mins left down by 10 4th and like 11 and your gonna punt in the fucking superbowl?).. and lets not forget how bad your punter did... since you prob. have the game taped rewatch it from a steeler fan point of view and see all the other calls the refs missed that would have favored the steelers.. how about the fumble that was called an incomplete pass.. how about your oline prob. holding every single time..

lol. Most of what you just said was comeplete garbage so I won't acknowledge it.

Yes, the seahawks played shitty, yes they could have won even with the penalties, but that doesn't matter because the penalties DID effect the outcome.

As for the fumble that was called an incomplete...I keep seeing people bring this up. Wasn't this on 3rd down? Didn't the Seahawks have to punt on that drive anyways, and the Stealers got it at their own 20? Didn't the fumble pop way out of Stevens hands and roll to about the 10 yard line? So assuming the Stealers pick it up, they'll probably run it back to the 30 at most?

you aren't a football fan, you cant even spell the name of the team of one of the most successful franchises in nfl history. john madden is senile, it was a hold, the only thing you can argue that he was finishing his block, if your not in front of him and your still in contact with him, its a hold. if your arms have one in the front and one in the back..... how is that a block, its a hold, his arm was around his neck. find a damn video clip.

im sick of you fucking bitching. you lost, just like the seahawks haev always done. they get a cakewalk to the superbowl becuz they play in a fucking shit conference, yes i said it, COMPLETE SHIT. no team is physical enough besides the bears, and they made the playoffs WITHOUT AN OFFENSE. the panthres made the playoffs because they no team was smart enough to beat a not just one dimensional, but one reciever oriented offense. They dont have a decent running back. The skins have a washed up quarterback and a good wide reciever. They have portis, a good back who unfortunately for them is streaky. once again, one dimensional in that minus an occasional deep ball to moss, brunell cant do anything. god, the eagles were the cream of that pathetic crop last year, and look at them this year. franchise is in scrambles from injuries and the mess with TO.

No one talks about the great powerhouses in the NFC, they talk about THE UNBEATABLE PATRIOTS, THE OFFENSIVE GENIOUS OF THE COLTS WITH THIER POWERFUL PASS RUSH AND SMOTHERING DEFENSE, THE WELL ROUNDED PHYSICAL ROAD WARRIORS THAT ARE THE STEELERS, THE RUNNING MACHINE IN DENVER, THE UNBELIEVABLY DANGEROUS CINCINATTI OFFENSE AND THIER ALL STAR SECONDARY.
NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THE STUPID SEAHAWKS, BECUZ THEY ARENT' GOOD. WHO CARES ABOUT SEAN ALEXANDER'S RUSHING TITLE, HE IS GREAT BUT HIS STATS ARE PADDED BECAUSE OF THE TEAMS HE PLAYS

and if you dotn care to listen to my arguement then listen to this...

YOU LOST, SUCKS TO BE YOU, AT LEAST YOU WON LAST YEAR...... O WAIT YOU NEVER ONE ANYTHING, TELL YOUR BITCHASS OWNER THAT THE NFL ISN'T LIKE MICROSOFT, YOU CANT BUY EVERYTHING

madden is an idiot.. and they replayed the call on nfl network and showed that it was a holding and explained why.. get your facts straight my friend.. the only missed call was pf call which didn't matter because we still had the interception anyhow...

the funny thing is i've been reading seattle seahawks and pittsburg steelers forums all day.. and its so pathetic how much crying has been going on.. like 50 diff members signed up to a steelers forum today to whine.. now if thats not the most pathetic shit i've ever seen..

LOL @ you thiinking I "accidentally" misspelled the Stealers name. It's a play on words, idiot. Meaning they "stole" the superbowl. In actuality it was the refs, but fuck it, I can't call them the Stealers.

Other than that, nothing you said has any relevance. The hold was not a hold, and the Stealers were offsides during that play.

Yes, I agree it happens all the time. But not in the superbowl, and not to this extent.

The only one that looks credible is the rothlisasshole TD. Which I already stated I don't really care about.

WHAT DOU MEAN THE WHOLE STORY, THE TD WAS A TD, HIS ARM IS AROUND HIS SHOULDER WHAT DOES THE REST OF THE STORY SAY...... THAT THIS ACTUALLY WAS A SCRIPTED SIMULATION WHEN HE TOOK THE PICTURE, LOOK AT HOPES FEET HE WAS MOVED BACK 2 YARDS FROM THE PUSHOFF..... PRETTY SURE THATS NOT "TICKY TACK" TO MOVE BACK A 200 LB DB 2 YARDS.

I'm not a Steelers or Seahawks fan. Do not have that much time to watch football. My wife and I watched it and we both thought it was the most ridiculous thing we have ever saw. With review of the instant re-plays, the officials still made the wrong call. I used to watch some of the finals and then the Super Bowl. I will not waste my time in the future.

I might add from another source.

Surely Roethlisberger's two interceptions to Matt Hasselbeck's one would sink the Steelers.

Not on Sunday. The Seahawks moved the ball better than the Steelers. They kept the ball longer than the Steelers. They held onto the ball more securely than the Steelers. They had six more first downs than the Steelers (20-14), a feat surpassed only twice by losing teams in SB history.

And yet the Seahawks lost.

Seattle fans have a right to feel sick. Their team just suffered the most unjust loss in Super Bowl history.

I'm guessing knowing that the previous 25 teams to gain more yards, keep the ball longer and not lose the turnover battle all won the Super Bowl won't make them feel any better.

Give it a rest. The Steelers won.

post from another forum..

All the sad-sack sour grapes. Whining.. Embarrassing coach Holmgren's remarks. Pyper's immaturity....

With all of the questionable calls throught the playoff, why the shock now?

Bandwagon Seattle fans that barely understand this game, have watched little of it before this season, now are rules experts.

I am embarrassed for you....

Whining about officiating when your "High-Powered" offense continually started near mid-field throught the whole game and only mustered up a GRAND TOTAL of 3 POINTS other than that gift INT......

Was it a push off?
Does that call often go uncalled?
Was it actaully a penalty according to league rules?
YES is the answer to all 3...

Instead of pulling at your tear soaked heart strings looking to blame someone, instead of questioning the officials, maybe some more pertinant questions should be asked....

For example:
Where were your fans?
Why did you not support your team in Detroit?
Why did the offense completely waste away the closing minutes of both halfs by killing the clock for the Steelers?
Why so many dropped passes?
Why did you guve up so many really big plays?
Why did your kicker completely choke kicking in a perfect environment?
Why did the Offense only earn 3 points?
Why did you play so poorly that one or 2 unfortunate calls could ruin any chance of you winning the game?
Why no big plays or scored on the other 50 or 60 plays in the game?
Why did your coach just pull one of the unclassiest moves EVER?
Why so many dropped passes?
Why the fragile mental preparedness of Stevens?
Why after so many quarters without an INT, throw one, and another should have been an easy 6 for us before Ike got the dropsys?
Why so many dropped passes?
Why did Mr. MVP make absolutely no difference in this game?
What good is this great O-line when we barely blitz them, give Hasselbeck all night to throw, and still have so few scoring chances?
Did I mention the dropped passes?

BOTTOM LINE....

YOU LOST..... Plain and simple. And you really are looking childish right now.

Seattle's gameplan was perfect for this game (with the except of clock management). Look at the facts, Ben played ELWAY-ESQE (Elways first win, not a compliment, but will be next year), no 100 yard rusher, barely heard the names Porter or Polamalu all game, tried to pick on Taylor all night, always started in good field position, controlled the ball and clock.

Seattle did everything they wanted to.... AND LOST....

In a 60-minute game, to whine about a push off and pawn your loss on the officials!!! EMBARRASSING....

If your idiot kicker was worth anything, that pushoff would have only cost you 1 point. Now who are you going blame his, and other's poor executaion on?

For every so-called BAD CALL, there were several a bad INTs, bad drops, missed kciks, and costly mistakes,

WHINE WHINE WHINE.........

We're laughing all the way to immortality.

And hopefully, for your sake, after NFL Films immortalizes the Steelers, they'll cut your embarrassing coaches remarks so people can remember the great year the SeaHawks actually had, and not suffer this embarrassment for the rest of eternity.

I'm already looking forward to the slow motion highlights of Parker romping 75 yards untouched.. Man if only you had a ref to blame that one on....

There will never be a next time for Seattle, but just in case there is (hey anyone can win the NFC right?), next time, maybe make something happen on the 50 or so plays where no penalties were called and look like you think you can actually WIN before whining about excuses...

WAH WAH....

Good season Seattle. You DID have something to be proud of.
Sorry it has been so tainted. This is what the 2005-06 SeaHawks will be remembered for. Hahaha, the refs getting more attention than the SeaHawks. You should be used to this by now..

I doubt anyone will even remember who the steelers beat in a few years...

Immortality, here we come.

Whoever posted that is an idiot.

I don't think any Seahawk fan is solely blaming the loss on the refs.

The point is, the refs changed the outcome of the game. End of fucking story. Now that could mean anything, it doesn't neccessarily mean the Hawks would have won.

They asked that exact question on sportscenter last night to Tom Jackson, Ron Jaworski and Michael Irvin. 3 people who know infinitely more about football than some idiot pittsburgh fan. Guess what? They all said YES it did change the outcome of the game.

God, how hard is this to comprehend? I mean seriously, I'm guessing you guys aren't retarded since you can use a computer fairly well, but cmon. At least show that you aren't completely ignorant.

LOL. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Guarantee Rothlishitface will never get another superbowl.

It's funny how the oddsmakers have the colts favored for next year. The Hawks and Patriots are right behind them. And guess who's 4th? Pittsburgh.

Guess that shows how many people thought they were a fluke.

LOL. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Guarantee Rothlishitface will never get another superbowl.

It's funny how the oddsmakers have the colts favored for next year. The Hawks and Patriots are right behind them. And guess who's 4th? Pittsburgh.

Guess that shows how many people thought they were a fluke.

ya they were a fluke that marched right over 1 2 3 seeds in the afc.. and #1 in the nfc.. oh ya by 11 points?.. the funny thing is your piece of shit liberalist city is so pathetic they are getting lawyers involved to try and have the superbowl replayed.... HAHAHAH.... fucking coffee drinking piece of shits.. whats funny is your team isn't gonna be remembered for going to the superbowl.. but for crying refs cheated when they got their ass kicked on a d- performance from the best team in the nfl..

For a second I almost thought I was speaking to an intelligent human being.

Guess I was wrong. I think there's a pink dumbell somewhere with your name on it.

okay enough already, the steelers were 7-5 in the middle of the season, won EIGHT GAMES IN A ROW to win the superbowl and they certainly were filled with several players who deserve credit for what they have down..... cower, hines, bettis. all deserve rings. maybe the superbowl was taken over by the refs a little too much. but in all truthfulness it may not have mattered. The steelers fought for 2 months to do what they did, and its downright disrespectful to not give them credit when they have no control over what happened. Right calls, wrong calls either way they fought their hearts out and won. So dont take anything away from them.

Lastly, i honestly blame the media for this rediculousness, i know you said that people comment on refs, but with a superbowl where the winning team played very poorly but still beat a team who could not capitalize on thier mistakes...... what does the media have to talk about other then refs?

lol, I dont drink that stuff. I figured Pittsburgh would win b/c Seattle always has a feeling that its Seahawks dont have the mental toughness to play well in the big games.
Hence, why I made 1.5 million in karma on the game (donated away now) but Ive seen Seattle let down too many times when they got it going. There's always next year. I actually cant believe Seattle made it to the superbowl after all the hype year in a year locally that this was their year and they end up sucking ass.
Dont know why the team is always so inconsistent.

Oh and Paul Allen sees like a pretty fun guy, I wish I was pals with him

YOU CAN'T SEE THE 'HOOK' CAN YOU..

Hand(s) or arm(s) that encircle a defender—i.e., hook an opponent—are to be considered illegal and officials are to call a foul for holding.

I THINK I SEE A HOLD.. AND IF YOU SAY YOU CAN'T.. THEN YOU ARE JUST PATHETIC..

PWNED

Sorry, but I'll trust the football experts on what is a hold and what isn't.

Also, you're forgetting the fact that one of the Stealers was offsides during that play. In fact, that's probably why Locklear was beat on that play.

I'd like to see a picture of that.

I think seattle's chances of returning to the super bowl are much greater than pitt's
ben will never play in another
plenty of quality AFC teams itching for payback
pitt will go 8-8 next year
