Even though it's a "chain" restaurant, Carabbas has some of the best calamari around here. We always try calamari at any new italian place we go to and nothing has been able to compare to carabbas.

I have been use to using marinara but last saturday I was in New orleans at emeril's restaraunt and they brought out calamari in a sweet and sour sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled over it. It was great!

quickie fra diavlo:

can of chopped tomatoes, can of diced tomatos, strain.

add a half cup of roast garlic, one roasted jalepeno, 1 tsp olive oil, some cracked corriandre seed, lemon juice, cracked black pepper and seasalt to taste. Pulse ONCE

eat it. its best left at room temp for a few hours to let it marry.

This is the uber quickie one, PM me if you want more in depth.
