Scrooge?

My Mom and Dad paid me a visit yesterday...the sole purpose to see how I decorated my new house for Christmas.

Well, to say the least, they were disappointed. No tree, no wreaths, nothing....

LOL, Ok now be honest, am I the only person that just hasn't gotten into the Christmas Spirit this year? Here it is 12 days before the big event and I haven't even started shopping, decorated or baked any Christmas treats.......

And if I hear another Christmas song, I just might ......well let's just say I have heard enough.

Upon leaving, my parents told me...."Santa doesn't bring presents to Scrooge's....so, you better be a good girl and get busy!!"

My response to her was....."I wasn't expecting him to come anyway......

I'll cum and scrooge ya. :)

SHUT UP MANGO!

I did not buy a tree this year and I don't feel like it to be honest. Christmas shopping? HMMM.....I better whip out the Christmas card. I have very few people to buy for this year so I can do it online.

BAH HUMBUG

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,
ring ting tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
for a sleigh ride together with you

I think it is time for you to get out the Johnny Mathis christmas cd.

Get me in the christmas spirit every year. :)

Actually, I've not been in the Christmas spirit for many years. This year is a little different. My girlfriend has really helped.

I admit, I haven't put up a tree either.
I don't really think I am this year.

I have the spirit, I just hate the aggravation of having to take
the tree down and all the hassle of putting it up.
Although I have helped put 3 trees up for others this year.:)

Maybe I'm a scrooge too?:bawling:

I don't really get into all the forced niceness and over comercialization of it all - so I get kind of scroogelike for the holidays as well.
this year I'm trying to do something nice for christmas to make up for me being like that :)

:lmao: BAAAaaaaaHHHHH Humbug to you, Sweetie!!

Maybe your right BO-CEPHUS...I am just going to have to force-feed the Christmas Spirit this year. I'll listen to the good ole Johnny Mathis christmas CD ONE TIME ONLY...and if I am not bubbling over with Christmas Cheer....Then I will give up!! :)

Big4life...if you have already put up three trees...I think that you are exempt from being considered a Scrooge!! :D

She must have done all of your shopping for you!!

j/k fro!

The Christmas spirit is definitely a frame of mind. I have two young daughters who will always be in the Christmas spirit! I realize that every year around Thanksgiving.....I'll have to climb into the attic and retrieve all the things necessary to decorate the house and put together the tree(family has bad allergies except me) and wrap the tree in lights and hang the wreaths and blah, blah, blah. My wife pretty much takes care of all the shopping so all I have to do is supply her with cash and she is off to the races! I would much rather do for others than have people do for me. I know my children will give me something for Christmas but really I don't want anything! I'm not a materialistic person. I like helping others during this time of the year.
