I didn't want to clog up your journal too much :)

Gotta make the stones, just to be able to practice with them make such a big difference, but don't do single with them. Go get barrel (you know the blue one Clint has) at a local car wash they get them for car wiper fluid  . Get like 3-5 of them and maybe 10 Tires. I really never understood why people only do one stone at a time, cause all the events are done medley style. Also you can get 2x4 and put them underneath the barrels for more height too.

I don't know if you have seen the trend lately but a lot of Strongmen are getting quick, I mean even the heavies are starting to sprint during the medleys, kinda scary when 300lbs+ is moving that fast ;) . Plus the event are getting timed more often. So get out the sled make one if you have to, help out so much, drag it every way you can. I am no expert but these things seem to help me. The time limits are usually 60sec so train to last 75sec and you will smoke the other competitiors

Ask Clint he would know the best.

Thanks again for the advice.

Yeah we were gonna make a whole set of logs and a heusefelt stone from concrete as well. Need to get my sled made and get crackin on it. I think it is a 90sec time limit on the stones. I need to find out what weights they are going to use and try and go one heavier so that I won't struggle with any of them. I have always had good quickness and short distance speed, I'm just not good at the long haul. Figure by doing enough gpp I'll increase my cardio to where it needs to be for this type of stuff. Already talk with Clint from time to time and I am sure I will be talking with him a lot more in the next couple of months.

Don't know if I'll be able to or not with work. If I can I will at least go and watch.
