Well looks like I am probably not making it home for christmas, things at work are pretty shaky and I am seriously thinking of quitting, and I'm at my wits end from being physically and mentally exhausted.

as for me,work is great,i got promoted to supervisor already,its just coming home that kills me,to much bullshit here makes it hard to come home,and im also missing christmas so the family i miss and want to see i cant

Last year it wouldn't have bother me too much to miss xmas, but my family has had a really bad year with a couple of deaths, plus my grandpa turns 90 next year so this may very well be his last one so I really needed to make it home, but work doesn't seem to care. I also found out that they let one of the new guys trade out of a field job because his gma died, yet when my grandfather died in march they wouldn't let me have time off to go to the funeral.

That's great that you got promoted already, sucks that you aren't going to make it home either.

ya it does but I know its what i need to do to get ahead, I talked to the bossman who runs all operations and he said the assholes who demanded time off will be moved to the bottom of priority because our work is busiest in the winter and if they arent willing to help the company fuck them.

so short term it sucks but long term i just moved myself way ahead in senority so to speak.

Yeah I worked whenever possible without complaint for the first couple of years, now I let them know what I think as I am one of the more senior employees now.
