which were you??

i was always the guy that was calculating my semester grades to figure out EXACTLY what i needed to get on that last test to catch a good enough grade to get the credit for the semester

i always thought it was funny the people who would stress when they get a C, or even a B

hey, D is for Degree ;) ;)

I graduated with a 3.0 so that was pretty sweet for me. I thought you had to get a C for the class to count?

me too, but somehow i got D's in math and they counted

oh yea, i still graduated (as of today) college with a 3.3 :)

I did just enough to get by and still got good grades (3.6-3.7 avg)

ha ha (nelson from the simpson's voice)

What Employers out there actually ask what your GPA was ?
They want to see you stuck with getting a degree..

I immagine some do want to know the GPA but do they ask and go after proof of what it was ?

In IT, some companies want you to bring your transcript with you so they can see exactly what marks you got in certain classes!

I've been known to cry over low-A's. I know I can do better than that. My family teases me and says they'll disown me if I get B's.

That must only be in software development. I've never had anyone even ask what my gpa was.

3.0 here too. B student. I probably could have gotten more A's, but honestly it wasn't worth the effort.

I was the guy going into the last tests in every class saying I dont need to even write to pass,I got all 80's and 90's in soc, psych, issues, communications, group dynamics, criminal justice, poly sci, fitness

sounds like a plan man, id give ya k for a fellow deanslister but with my new account it would be grey and thats not cool

I got a 3.55 in undergraduate computer science, which is probably a more difficult task than getting the same in business or social science. If you're spending a lot of time on school and not working or starting a business simultaneously, you should shoot for well above a 3.5. That is, unless you just don't care about your future and want to begin or continue leading a slack life.

Grades don't mean that much unless you go into some technical area.

3.0 is sort of a benchmark in business.

Some companies don't want you to apply unless you have over a 3.0.

Well, they mean alot if it's all you've got to put on a resume. Once you've gotten 5-10 years of solid experience I seriously doubt they'll care.

That's true. But if you're a student, you should push yourself to do well unless you have something else contructive to do.

School is progressive. Most peoples' alternatives are cyclical.

I have a 3.5 GPA in my first semester in grad school.

Physics killed me. It was extremely hard.
