Saw Ronnie Coleman last night

Last night i am at the gym working out and who walks through the door...Ronnie freaking Coleman...he was hanging out with some lady that works out at my gym...it kinda sucked becuase he had on some huge sweatshirt and was just sitting next to her the whole time reading a magazine while she was doing cardio. He supposedly was taking a little time off so he didnt work out....i wanted to see his guns in person.. ..anyways...i was just excited , never seen noone big like that in my gym...its a small local gym here in jersey...Dumbells health and fitness. Just thought i would share

p.s ...i will say this...he was definetly shorter and less wide than i expected, yea he had a sweatshirt on, but i could still tell his frame isnt that wide..(not saying his muscles arent enormous)..but holy shit...while he was sitting down, it looked like his quads were going to burst out of his pants...damn his legs were sick.

Ya, I think because alot of these guys are a little shorter they seem to not look as big as when there in posing trunks almost naked. Still HUGE though.

Have you ever seen him standing relaxed with out a shirt on. He may not be as wide when doing a lat spread, but you can just see his back muscles laying on each other because they are so big and have no where to go.

I'm guessing you didn't talk to him at all. Or did you.

..i didnt get a chance to talk to him, was kinda on my way out and he looked like he didnt want to be bothered, i was looking for a picture of him to sign but couldnt find one....

I've met him a few times... he's massive - but wasn't that fan freindly (mind you both times were at appearances.) Jay Cutler was the man... very freindly and just cool to talk to.

Cuttler seemed very anti fan when I met him at an appearence but it was in Utah and alot of the pro's probably dont cosider that to be the "coolest" place to visit for a show.

yea, this wasnt really an appearence or anything, the owner of the gym didnt tell anyone he was coming although he knew the girl was bringing him. I mean a few people talked to Ronnie and he seemed very friendly and was making jokes but when i was gonna say whatsup he was kinda busy talking to his friend so i didnt bother him.

I cannot speak for big Ronnie,but Cutler was a class act with me,talked about my goals and gave a few tips on how to get there,and didnt try to push his sponsored supps on me,told me real food and lots of it is the way to go

I agree I have met coleman before, he wasn't that friendly at all. I have talked to Kovaks and he was really cool. Was at a bar in Columbus, and he asked me if I minded if he changed the channel on the TV. I about craped my pant. I was about 275lb and that dude just towered over me.

2 of my buddies met Ronnie and said his attitude sucked! Big-boy though.

Imagine some of the anxiety, short(er) tempers and/or agitation some of us feel when only taking a total of a gram of AS a week and compare it to the pro's cycles. You gotta cut them a little break cause we all know what it feels like sometimes.

Gunther trains in my gym and everyone speaks highly of him. I have never seen him there because I am a morning man and he trains in the afternoon. The sushi bar I like speaks highly of him also.

I've never met a pro in person, really most of what I know about them I know from reading, but much of the negative "gossip column" type stuff I've seen about the attitudes of the pros seems to indicate many of them tend to think they're a lot more famous than they are. There are legions of stories about guys like Cormier, Wheeler, and Shawn Ray. Haven't read too many negative stories about Ronnie. Anyway, it's said that many of them kind of live in their own world, I mean they're in the gym for X number of hours a day, devoting X number of hours a day to diet, constantly making appearances and working with sponsors, and when they go out it's usually with their personal posse so some of the bigger assholes tend to not realize that 9 out of 10 guys on the street don't know who Ronnie Coleman is much less Shawn Ray.

you're right though there is alot of people that have never even heard of the name Ronnie Colemen

Ronnie came to Venezuela two months ago for a show. definitely he isn't fan friendly (his kinda badass though...) but there is not doubt the guy is huge.

Lee Priest was standing in line for the same movie I was at about a year ago. He had on a sweatshirt and glasses, he was short as hell of course but didnt look that big because he was covered up with baggy clothes.

I agree on the fact that ronnie needs to work on his PR a bit... cant wait till may when he comes to my hometown to do a seminar!
