Sauna Question

I usually spend 15-20 min in the sauna after my workout. I do it because its relaxing and I like it, but I wanted to see if it actually has any benafits in terms of water retention or anything else for that matter.
 
This could just be me but when I feel like I'm getting sick I'll get a gallon of water and sit there for as long as I can take it. I've heard that the temp of the air can actually kill germs so I just take deep breaths. This may sounds stupid but after flushing out my system with the water and loading up on vitamin C, I rarely get sick at all...
 
Waste of time. Relax in it for sure, but thats it.

Unless you want to go a few pounds over weight for a PowerLifting competition and then make the weight by sauna, forget it.
