Was coming out of pub where I was watching hockey on Sat night when I see groups of people running towards the street.
I turn to look at what is happening and I see an Chevy Blazer going around in circles, in reverse with no driver and another Van in the middle of the intersection on its side. I see a bunch of dudes trying to jump in the SUV and they are being flung off. Finally as I get there a dude is able to jump in and stop hte vehicle.
I ask WTF is going on and they say that the SUV ran a red light and T-boned the van. I ask where the fuck the driver is and he said they that is him making his way down the street. I said why didn't you keep him here. They said let the police track him down.
I said screw that and went after the dude. Just over a block away I caught up to the dude. This guy was so drunk he could barely walk or talk. Didn't put up much of a fight, my adrenaline was pumping hard so it was probably a good thing for him he didn't being pissed and me sober.
Take him back to the scene and hand him over to the cops. I couldn't put him in hte drivers seat but some other witnesses could so this guy is fucked big time. While talking my report the cop tells me this dude already had his license suspened for a DUI. What is wrong with some people.
The guy in the van was lucky. He walked away with zero injuries, still not sure how that was possible. Scary part is he had said that his two kids are usually in the van with him on Sat nights.
