Sam Adams Light ain't that good.

Lumberg

I don't know why people think it is so good. Marketing I guess. Someone brought SA light to my friends' party and the next day they were like "It was REALLY good" so I bought a six-pack. It is a very ordinary tasting light beer.

Alcohol is poison, none of it is good. peace

You're right about it being poison, although I do find that quite a few varieties taste good. However, after I finish a bottle of Red Rum I purchased this week, I doubt I will be drinking for some time as it will not fit into my health/fitness plans.

Unfortunately, I've had the displeasure of only being able to partake in the sweet leaf only 3-4 times in the last 2.5 weeks. It's pretty bad around here now. I need to move to Kentucky or Texas, haha.

Canada is too cold and "it's not even a real country, anyway".

Nevada hasnt legalized shit yet. They vote on it next month, and even if the bill passes, it has to pass again in 03 or 04 to become law. Still, its a giant leap forward b/c you know other states will follow suit if it passes.

I said Kentucky b/c like 70% of the homegrown weed in the US is grown in the east half of Kentucky. They are like fuckin renegades there to protect that shit. Punjii sticks, snakes, shotgun shell traps, etc.

Texas b/c its so close to Mexico you could get it so cheap it'd be outlandish

so what you are saying is that it doesn't make you scream outloud at inopportune times like the ads so misleadingly claim?

damn. I had such high hopes.

It's o'k but I'm anti light beer in general. Do people actually think it's better for you because of 40 less calories? Be a man and step up to a real beer. Has anyone seen the commericals for Michelob ultra-light. It has people working out. Sad thing is people will see that and buy it.

LOL Actually that is not what I am saying. It can and does make you scream out loud at inappropriate times. Unfortunately instead of "Holy sweet nectar of life! BOO_YAH!" It's more like "This beer tastes like SHIT!"

Yes. Marketing is the answer. Take Yuengling for example. It used to be the cheapest garbage you can buy. Then some genius decided to make commercials and advertise it and whatnot. Now people drink it like it's the greatest thing in the world. But it's garbage. I don't get it. Same goes for Corona. There is another beer called Sol. It was going to be the Mexican beer to be advertised greatly. Something fell through or something. I forget, so Corona got picked. Now everyone drinks that garbage too.

You could poop in a bottle and market it as good beer and people would drink it. People are dumb.

You are so right. I can't count the number of times I have sat around with people drinking fancy imported beer that was so obviously skunked (Heineken is a good example of a beer that most people do not how how it's really supposed to taste because it is skunked so often). Invariably after the first sip someone will venture "Damn that's good beer" and everyone else will agree. Meanwhile I am pouring mine out in the sink.

That's why I do not drink imported beer as a rule. You do not know how long it has spent in the hold of a ship, on a dock somewhere, in a storeroom somewhere, etc. I only buy local microbrews which offer all the taste options you would want in a beer. I will do Guinness and Molson Glden because they are both at least brewed on the same continent (yes the Guinness you buy in America is brewed in Canada).

I also agree about Corona. That shit tastes like dirt in a bottle, lime or no lime.

Yeah I tried it and was unimpressed. The new thing is low carb beers. They will sell well I'm sure. I prefer Guiness, although I dont really drink beer much anymore. A few years ago I was the freakin' beer master! I saved all my bottles from new beers I tried for years and had something like 200 varieties. Amazingly I didn't aquire a gut during those years of beer testing.

My favs:

Guiness
Oktoberfest Spaten-YUM!!
Boag's(Australian)
Optimator Spaten
St. Paulie Girl
Anchor Porter
Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat
Pete's Winter Ale
Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse
Pete's Wicked Bohemian Pilsener-Pete's makes a decent beer.
Sapporo-weak but good on occasion. I like the mini-cans.
Tucher Hefe-Weizen -This is what a wheat beer should be.
Kirin Dry
Imperial(Costa Rica-not sure I can get this here in the states anymore)

Holy shit! I can't believe you love Imperial!!! I used to lin in Costa Rica and that shit was the SHIT!!! Costa Rican beer (as well as lots of other lat. am. beers) are that good because at some point in the development of the country the powers that be were like "well boys it's time we started brewing out own beer." So they sent for some elite German brewmeisters and set up a beer brewing operation. I know for a fact that Costa Rican beer is very German in taste and VERY good.
