I am eating two salads today! I switch from steamed and stir-fried veggies to salads from time to time to get me out of a rut. I see that Jens eats them quite a bit in her log too.
 
I try to eat veggies every day....lettuce is not that great for you....so I try something with more fiber and color
 
Yup I have a salad every night for dinner but try and stick with romaine or now that its back out again baby spinach :chomp:
 
I would eat a salad almost daily until the spinach scare. Im still scared to eat it :worried: I bought 3 packs of veggie spring mix tonight though, been wanting a crisp salad lately very bad. Doesn't taste the same as spinach though. I miss my spinach

Lettuce isn't good for you? I know that the iceberg lettuce is mostly made of water, but whats wrong with the other kinds?

It's not that it's "not" good for you, but it doesn't have much nutritional value, unless it's very green.
 
Salad is such a broad, general term. If you tell me you eat a "salad" for lunch, it can mean SO many different things.

Salad is generally a nutritionally void thing - except around here. Most women trying to "lose weight" eat lettuce with some fat free dressing - and call that a salad. STUPIDITY - that is why it should be called.

Most lettuce is nutritionally empty. Few vitamins, minerals and fiber. Aim for romaine or spinach.
