Saddest thing that you ever saw?

saddest thing ive ever seen was a sad chinese man playing the piano

1. the saddest tihng i saw was my grandpa's expression calling 911 after we found his brother (my great uncle) dead.

2.also i saw a biker crash and die right infront of us. puddle of blood coming from his head..i didnt know him but i cried after seeing it. it was sad to see a young man die right there.

Animal Planet- Animal Presinct/hospital/cops....cruelty and inhumane acts towards animals i cannot tolerate.

You lived a charmed life if that's the saddest thing you've seen.
Well, think of it this way. I've seen more horrific things then that in recent years. But I don't consider them sad anymore.

But, back then, I didn't know how to deal with it.

a three year burn victim screaming for his mother. the mother died when the meth lab blew up in her face.

I love that show...lol :mrmuscle:

I'd open a can of whoop ass on a lot of those idiots.....come to think of it I do allready. :qt:

Actually, one more thing.

Despite all the things in my father's life, I've only seen him cry once. Just once. That made me sad. Someone killed his brother (my uncle) when I was 9.

That's it.

I thought of a few things, but the word wasn't "sad" - but similar -

e.g. a friend of mine detoxing off a lorcet addiction sitting in my shower shaking & sweating uncontrollably for hours at a time. He ran out of his "stash" of lorcets which started as a painkiller script for a shattered wrist, but it morphed into an addiction while he also looked at lorcets, x, GHB, etc as party drugs. He didnt' detox by choice. But his family woudln't take him back becaues he's already a well-established liar & alcoholic. He also is divorced from a vindictive bitch who married him for a green card & wanted to abort their baby because she didnt' want it. She now has custody of this adorable 3 yr old girl (at the time). "Sad" isnt' the word I'd use there - more like "tragic' and "pathetic".

There are a couple for me...

1. Watching my grandmother scream and cry when they wheeled my Grandfathers casket into the funeral parlor for his wake. She screamed, jumped up outta her chair and hung onto the casket like she was trying to take it away.

2. Seeing a picture of my dead nephew that was still born @ 8 months. They waited to long to take the picture so he was already cold and blue. She gave it to us to try and photoshop it and make him look more "pink." Toughest thing to do.

It would take me all night and then some to write it all down.

I saw my dad entirely in casts for like 2 years

I saw my mom cry hard only once. I didn´t and don´t know what for that was. I was a little kid but I´ll never forget. She was just bawling.

I guess I´m lucky I never saw worse things

Probably one of the worst was when I was home for summer break in college (from out of state) and my grandmother's liver had started to fail. I guess normally they regenerate but she had had scarlet fever or something as a child, but anyway, iit didn't. So she was in the local nursing home and she had essentially stopped eating because her body coudlnt' process anything except pickles (really!). So here she is - a solid woman with her mind still intact at age 85 but she's wasting away. And I had to say goodbye before I went back to school - knowing it was just a matter of time. Gawd that was horrid. I had no idea what to say.

When she did finally pass, my grandfather had a heart attack within a month probably just from feeling like he needed to be with her after 60+ yrs of marriage. And I was away at school knowing all this was coming.

My moms dog ( a pocket beagle ) that she has had for almost 9 years was diagnosed with cancer last week, she is a part of our family, she has her own personality, she greets everyone in the family differently, but we have like a bond together, she always sat by me, always ran to me when she was scared, anyways, the saddest thing ever is seeing her sick, skinning and dying, too drained to move around and even eat. Knowing that we have to put the best dog we’ve ever owned to sleep kills me, by far the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.

This is life and it eventually happens to every one of us. I'm seeing it happen to my parents right now. Sorry about that.

Sorry about that. Stick around and you will see far worse than that. If you have a soul, it wears on you.
