?'s on taking Creatine

I asked several in an earlier post, and didn't get too much in the way of answers. Instead of repeating those, I have a couple new ones:

Taking creatine with citric acid is bad. Ok. But what about before or after? If that's still bad, how much time should I allow between the two (I drink OJ in the morning).

It's important to take it with simple carbs? Does a protein shake count? How about a Sweetart or something? What if I don't take anything with it? What about on off days?

My container (Volumex) says one level teaspoon is 3.5g. Do you suppose that means teaspoon as in the eating kitchen spoon or the measurement, smaller spoon? I'm trying to get between 5-8g each time and am just wondering.
 
You cannot take creatine and citrus at the same time. You can take the creatine and about 20minutes later take some citrus fruit if you'd like. I just take mine w/ plain water though and works fine just like that. I would think taking creatine and then taking some simple sugars 20min. later would be a bit more optimal though.
 
no grape juice is fine it isnt acidic, that is what you want to avoid. and the label is prolly referring to the kitchen measuring spoons, and sweetharts are fine but you have much better options such as dextrose or maltodextrin, or honey for cheap and convenient to get. on off days i take creatine without teh simple carbs.
 
creatine did nothing for me i tried every loading method ,every type of creatine (powder,liquid,) and it did nothing
 
Have you tried Creapure? Prolab sells it. IMO it's one of the best. Although i hear that some people do not respond to creatine, i would still take another wack at it and just take it in really high doses. Like load for a week, then go down to 15-20mg/day of it and see if that's what it will take for your body to respond.
 
I never seen great gains with phosphagen hp(5gs/day),liquid,celltech(didn't take it long enough to notice any gains)...when I stopped my cycle my strength would go up then...that was the weird thing..I am gonna try to give it another shot with creapure with grape juice...
 
i've been on phosphagen (10 grams a day) for two months and my strength has noticeably increased greatly. And the pumps are unreal.... i'm liking creatine so far..
 
Been on cell-tech(it sucks to take) for 3-weeks and it helped gain 6 good pounds. TRY "KAIZEN®" creatine transport. ITS the best. Gained over 10 pounds in about 2 months.:D
