Running get off my lil tiny gut?

As long as you are burning more than you are putting in you will lose weight, and since there is no such thing as spot reduction and you only have fat there, then it will burn it there.

as long as your burning more calories then you are eating, then you will definitely lose "weight", but the weight will come from muscles and fat. whats your diet like?

I dont have a diet. I literally live on fast food.

Well, without cleaning up your diet a good bit it is going to be very hard to strip off the gut and not eat up a lot of muscle. It's hard enough to not lose mass when cutting even if you do watch your diet. If you run enough to burn more than you take in, you will eventually have a six pack, but that will really be more because you are vacuum packed in your skin.

i was just like you, naturally pretty skinny except for a stomach. its called skinny fat. i worked out hard and did cardio on an empty stomach and ate mcdonalds or pizza 3 times a day, i never saw my abs.

Well I dont really do cardio at all. How do you recommend cleaning up my diet? I dont have access to a full kitchen. What fast food places could I eat at that doesnt fuck me up?

Mostly don't eat white shit when you go there, and if you do, don't eat fried whit shit, lol.

For instance, at Wendy's you can get a grilled chicken sandwich without mayo, and that isn't too bad. Some people will argue about the bun, but I never went that far. You can also sub the fries out for chili. Beans digest slower and have more fiber than french fries. Never drink regular soft drinks.

Some will also throw down about processed food and so on. My only problem with fast food, or any processed food for that matter, beyond the calories and lack of nutrition us the salt. Otherwise, there is a lot of conjecture in the nutritional world about what chemicals do what to the body, but very little of it is rooted in real science, the 30-year-plus-long argument over the effects of MSG being a great example.

Go whole wheat when you can, avoid anything fried, look for complex carb alternatives to french fries, avoid sugary soft drinks, and actually take the time to go through the nutritional content available online at your favorite chains. You can learn a lot about not just calories, but protein content and so on just by that.

There is no substitute for preparing food yourself, but with a bit of studying and common sense, you can make a lot of improvement to your nutrition even at fast food restaurants. The key is learning what is in their food. I managed to keep eating at them several times a week while in college and still take off 40lbs.

This might be a better question for the nutrition section.

you can still eat pretty clean, i guess. but fast food restauraunts use white buns and thats the main thing that would set you back. try to eat whole grains or whole wheat on all your carb sources, but places like subway and wawa uses wheat bread that is half whole wheat and half regular bleached flour, so its "half good". i dont really know any place that serves 100% whole wheat carb sources. i dont know any place where you can go in and get a sweet potatoe instead of a white potato. but tr on eating 6 meals a day. each meal should consist of protein and carbs except for your last meal of the day whioch should only contain protein and you can add a tbsp or 2 of all natural peanut butter if you like.

alot of meat used in fast food flaces are processed so thye contain alot of salt. same with deli meat, im sure you can get away with some turkey cold cuts once in a while but the meat is processed and is not as lean and nutritious as chicken or turkey breast, etc.

Thanks for the info guys. I just ate at wendys. What about mac n cheese instead of fries? How is that? And I got a spicy chicken sandwich.

You said that you don't have access to a full kitchen, but would it be possible to use a George Foreman Grill in your residence?

I have found mine to be a great asset, and use it about 5 times a week to cook various, steak, chicken, salmon, etc.
