I don't trust the guy and probably would disagree with a fair amount of his policies, but I am continually impressed when I see this guy speak...he conveys such intelligence...this is the guy to model yourself after when trying to learn how to be a good speaker... very charismatic too.

I wish he was more along the libertarian lines of thinking, I'd vote for him for pres in a second.

Yup. Rumsfeld is great to listen to. Seems very down to earth and doesnt convey the typical beaureacrat attitude. He also seems all about pimp slapping those who would fuck around, and i am all for that. To bad he is like 70 years old. Buchanon is a favorite of mine too. Makes a lot of sense in so much that he says.

From reading Bush at War, it seemed Rumsfeld got fucked with alot of mundane jobs that his abilities were somewhat going to waste on....a shame really....I didnt know he was 70...jeez that sucks...I'd like to see him go back into politics after this... I know he was a Congressman or Senator (forget)... I'd honestly like to see what he could do in the executive office one day... he would be a respected leader around the world... as would powell, who I'd also like to see run...

I agree...great speaker.....now compare him to the man at the other extreme...BUSH...its painful to listen to him sometimes.....If you can't speak to the people in an articulate manner you shouldn't be running the country....

I love that.

Some of my favorite thing I've seen him do/heard him say . . .

He was standing up there with a top military official talking about a rocket of some kind. So a reporter asks him this question, basically putting words into his mouth, making an inference that made it sound like Rumsfeld said something that he didn't.

Rumsfeld takes on this kinda scouring "WTF are you talking about" look, and says "I didn't say that, didn't even say anything close to that (turns to the general), John did I say that? No, I don't think I said that at all, NEXT." and moves on to the next reporter.

Then his quote about France and war, "Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordian." That was priceless.

There was a good article about him recently in either Time magazine or Newsweek.

He's not a big fan of Bush or the people who surround Bush. He was dicked over by elder Bush and was kind of surprised to be brought back.

He wants this done his way and that's why he's so brash at times.

He was like 30 years old when he won his first election...and would run for President if the press was not so vile at times.

He's deff a straight shooter. I use to be a big bush fan but am starting to question alot of thigs who has done and wants to do. I would vote for powel over anybody now. What happened to actually trusting your president. And I can't stand mayor bloomberg of NYC, had to get that in there.
