The study didnt say the sedentary AAS using group gained more than the group that worked out. Their gains were comparable to the non-AAS group that was working out and of course the AAS-working out group gained the most...and the non-AAS non-training group gained less than all the others.

The non training AS group gained more muscle than the "natural" training one.

Actually Dan2232, they were told it was important to lift to failure. The people conducting this study were not idiots who wanted to see what steroids could do for someone's physique. They were medical doctors trying to develop effective therapies for legitimate medical conditions like chronic wasting disease. Look up the reference and read the paper before you make some half assed comment, OK? It chaps my ass when uninformed people denigrate legitimate scientific research because they don't agree with the outcome.

Alright, maybe I was too quick to post my comment. But, the first thing I think of when I see something like this is that I'm gonna be hearing another example of "Just take this pill for a leaner and better you" or "No need to exercise, just take one scoop of brand-x and sleep away the pounds."

Yes, I should have read the study. I've read the abstract now. I'd still like to know more details about the workout, but don't want to shell out $10 to access the entire text so I'll let it go.

Sorry I pissed ya off. I still want the grant though. :D

What about this cycle? this cycle _have_ to give good weight gains

Month 1-2: Frontloading with 4hours Oprah Winfreay, and 2 hours David Letterman ED, supplemented with a few cokes and some popcorn.

Month 3-12: 4hours Ricky Lake, with pizza`s, bigmacs etc ED.

This cycle is similar to the cycle most/many americans do these days..

That's OK bro. Maybe that was a little fina rage coming through.:D I agree with you that there is no magic pill to substitute for hard work and dedication. The "work out" group on steroids did gain significantly more muscle and loose more body fat than the other groups. It pays to work out. Still, for people with chronic wasting disease, steroids appear to offer one of the only effective treatments that will allow these people to lead normal lives and it's nice that they really don't have to work out to reap the medical benefits. Not everyone wants to lead an active lifestyle. To each there own.
