I am wondering why bber's do tri's and bi's on opp. days?

Also I am reading a lot about mass building routines keeping the sets and reps low and the weight heavy... what is a good one to go by? 5x5?

Its not mandatory, just preference...we all find something that works and stick to it..some do arms together some dont..You may want to go into the training board...5X5 is listed there....

You basically want to train opposite body parts on opposite days, in order to give the muscles you've already worked time to recoup. and rebuild.

When attempting to build mass, you really want to tear the muscle up so that the fibers build themselves back quickly. The best way to do this is by really pushing up a lot of weight. Thats why low reps + high weight = more mass.

A lot of guys live by the 5 x 5 method. Me personally, I change my routine up every few weeks. I almost always start off with 3 x 10 for the first week. Then each week I gradually decrease the reps, and increase weight... and eventually add another set(s).

Currently Im on week 19 of this workout run I am in, and on my major excersizes I am doing 6,6,5,5,4. Soon I will drop the 6's to 5's and add another set of 4 on the end, and increase weight. This seems to work well for me.

Thats just how I like to go at it. :Chef:
