Rob Zombie's "Halloween"

Best one since the first two, nice n gritty. Not sure how the theatrical version will be compared to what I saw, which is essentially the director's cut. I'm contemplating seeing it though for the sake of contrast. It certainly doesn't reach the original in terms of suspense and pacing but it makes up for it slightly with new back story content and sheer intensity. Overall a unique vision that's worth seeing for any Halloween fan or Zombie fan of course.

House was good but second one was so bad I didn't even finish watching it.

House of 1000 at least had a real creepiness factor to it.

DR's was fucking aweful I stopped watching it and did office paperwork instead of finishing it.

To me his movies have gotten better with each one (House=fucked up, Devil's=still fucked up but with a more cohesive story, improved technique, etc.). His latest is basically a remake though so he gets the benefit of the doubt. It's still a solid horror movie.

I must say that I have been waiting for this movie all year. House and Devils was the bomb, although I thought devils wasn't as good. I am always up for a good horror movie.
