Rhinoplasty

I haven't had Rhinoplasty, but I had my septum straightened.. which is nose surgery.

It hurts like HELL for the first 2-3 days afterwards, but heals fast.

I was miserable though. They pack your nose to hold everything in place.. you get these tubes in there to breath through but they clog up after about 2 seconds. You gotta sleep on your back mostly so you don't bump it or anything.. that hurts like hell too.

If its something you want, and it will make you happy with yourself and give you more confidence, go for it!

It doesn't hurt like someone said. A wisdom tooth extraction hurts worst......It's just annoying because you can't breathe for the first week.....it all depends on the severity of the surgery and if he uses an internal splints, etc.

I am typically able to avoid nasal packing for my nasal sculpture. The nose is tender after surgery, but certain surgical and recovery techniques can really help. Here is a repost from another thread:

Discomfort and return to activities after rhinoplasty depend on the problem to be treated, surgical techniques, skill of your surgeon, after care, how you heal, and other factors. I prefer surgical techniques that minimize swelling and bruising. Less swelling and bruising seems to increase comfort after surgery.

Hope this helps,
