Reverse curls- any good?

i think reverse curls work you could also do wrist curls with db or bb you can do them reverse or regulAR HAMMER CURLS ARE good also try to use high reps with good form and you could try working them a couple times a week if you want to bring them up i have also had good results with behind the back bb wrist curls sets of 20 reps with as muck weight good luck hope this helps

reverse curls are my main exercise for forearms. i vary between using the a straight bar hooked up to the cables, or just an ez curl bar. concentrate on your form though and keep your upper arms at your sides.

Isn't the reverse curl (bicep curl with pronated grip) primarily for your brachialis?
For forearms I would concentrate on forearm only movements. Or, while deadlifting, perform a forearm curl or static hold with the weight at the top of your lift, before lowering.

I suppose it would be. I just want 1 good movement to thicken up the forearms. I can't do deadlifts because my back is not in good condition. So I'm basically looking for an all-in-one type forearm exercise.

Dumbell wrist curls would be a good exercise. Sit on the end of a bench and alternate pronated (hands facing you) with suppinated (hands facing away from you) grip.

Whats a good number of reps for wrist curls?

reverse curls defintiely add thickness to the forearmas and 'outside' of the biceps.......have added much needed thickness to my arms.

Hmmmmm. Well, I was doing the wrist curls and reverse wrist curls for reps of 15-30, so maybe I'll still do that but lower the reps to what tom said.

So many choices!

Thanks guys.

Reverse curls, hammer curls, and static holds will really hit your forearms. I will do static holds when I am doing my bb shrugs.
