Hey there, been to the Doc, got the results back.

Comments and suggestions welcome. I am now convinced to add an AI to HRT regimin, as well as lower my weekly dose to 200mg/week.

Now what AI would you good bro's suggest?

Test results:

Fasting Glucose: 5.5 mmol/L (range 3.3 - 6.0) I want to lower this to about 4...How?
Fasting Insulin: 18.3 uU/ml (range 2.7 - 10.4) Bugger, this needs to come down with haste....How?
Thyrotropin: 1.27 (range 0.35 - 4.94) Happy with this
Thyroxine: 11.6 (range 9.0 - 19.0) Happy with this
S-Progesterone 0.3 (range 0.4 - 3.1) Guessing this needs to come up a bit...Dr has prescribed a cream, is this okay?
E2 327 (range 40 - 161) big problem, what do I use to lower this, at what dose, how often?
Total T 55.5 (Greater than 12 is good) Lowering dose of T anyway (Checked up, this is equal to +- 1600 ng/dl)
Free T 1.83 (Greater than 0.23 is good) As above (checked up, this is equal to +-52 ng/dl, still seems to low to me)
SHBG 15.20 (range 11.9 - 55.8) Happy with this
DHEA 4.94 (range 3.20 - 14.11) Doc wants this higher, has prescribed a pill
PSA 2.28 (range 0.0 - 4.0) Happy with this
S-Cortisol 136 (range (am) 101 - 535 (pm) 79 - 477) This needs to come up a bit

The Dr has prescribed supplments for Progesterone and DHEA as above, is this good? SO, with those being sorted by him, my main concerns at the moment are

1) E2
2) Insulin levels / Glucose levels

Please give advice so that I can get hold of the requisite supps/AI's asap?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

H

PS. Will probably redo the above tests again, within 12 weeks...

Results from 1st bloods for reference:

CRP: 0.1 (apparently this is good)
Homocysteine: 11.8 umol/l (Range 0.0 - 14.4) (apparently this is okay too.)
Progesterone: Undetectable... (apparently this is not so good :D )
Total Test: 8.0 nmol/l (apparently this is not so good)
Free Test: .26 nmol/l (Suprised I'm still standing?)
DHEA: 5.35 umol/l
Cortisol: 173nmol/l
SHBG: 16.10 nmol/l

So many views and no comments or advice?

:(

Not really sure what your looking for. You fasting glucose levels may very well be to being a bit overweight and having a historically bad diet based on your previous posts. Test actually helps with regulating glucose levels and insulin sensitivity so the fact you have historically low test levels could be one reason for that.

Lot of variables going on here and you really need to just concentrate on one at a time, for now I would get your test levels at a nice spot and after a couple months of being there see how everthing else shakes out. Aside from that make sure your eating well.

Thanks Z.

Concentrating on Insulin and E2 for the moment...

Insulin: Increased Omega3 intake, fibre and improved (read less wheat/Gluten) diet. Exercise is a given
E2: Aromasin @ 10mg eod

Have a good mind to allow this protocol to run for 12 weeks, and then retest to see where we are.

Sorry if I was not clear in my original post...

Cheers
