I know this isn't the training board, but they all seem to be a bunch of jokers there, and besides, I would like to get some input from bro's around here
My question is on rep range. I usually do about 4-5 reps on most movements, with heavy weight. I do a lot of compound movements, and I love the results I get from it. In my first 1 1/2 years of training I went from 144.5lbs to 191 natural. I am now 224. But with all this talk lately about "1-5 reps is for powerlifters, 6-10 is for optimum muscle growth, 12-15 is for endurance", I am wondering, if I could get more growth out of a slightly higher rep range, say 6-10 reps. Would it be worth lowering my lifts slightly to get more reps? Or does it make no difference at all, and I should just go on with what I do? Any input would be great. Thanks....
