Under some of the rep schemes in the training program from the jeckyll to hyde book, it show 6 sets of 5/4/3/5/4/3 or 8/6/4/14. Any idea how we are to choose the weight lifted for each set?

Yes the 5/4/3/5/4/3 it's a wave like loading method you are supposed to know your max for 3 reps set and do it on the first wave which is the 3rd set... then on second wave you try and add 5-10lbs on the 2nd wave which is your 6th set like this supposed you have a good 3x225lbs bench press PR you warmup and then you do:
First wave 5/4/3
1x5 185lbs
1x4 205lbs
1x3 225lbs
Second wave 5/4/3
1x5 190lbs
1x4 210lbs
1x3 230lbs
That makes 5/4/3/5/4/3 and a new PR.
The 8/6/4/14 it's just a guess but i would pick a weight you know u will hit failure at 8 reps then increase 5-10lbs on the set of 6 and 5lbs on the set of 4 then do a back off set that allows for 14 hard and pumped reps.
