Jesus. Was it a meth lab in a past life?

All I know is that I've never seen so many beer and liquor bottles in one place as I did this house.

The guy ended up losing this house - I bought it as a foreclosure. All his shit was out in the driveway.

Perhaps he got mad and went on a rampage for revenge. I mean what other way would a light be ripped out of the ceiling? lol.

lol.

When I bought this house it was going to be a "fix up and resale". However the more and more work I did the more I liked it.

When I get the kitchen finished I'll post up before and after pics of the entire house. You will be shocked.

I believe in doing work myself. I find it fun and rewarding. I only hire someone to do work if it's something I'm incapable of, unlike a lot of couch potatoes posting in this thread.

wait, so you ADDED that scalloped trim over the window? did you steal it from your grandma or have you owned this house since 1950?
I do most repair/refinishing work myself except what requires me to get up on a ladder for too long.

haha, no...the cabinet is open in that pic therefore you can't see it.

I know I scared you with this thread at first, but when I post before after pics of what I have did with the house I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

I'm pretty good with ideas and some decorating, sometimes I just need a "gueer eye for the straight guy" so to speak with color coordinating.

I'm sure you did a good job- I like seeing what I can do with the money i have at the time. Its easy for someone to post a pic of new, "in" cabinets and granite countertops, but we know you don't have two dimes to rub together, so that's part of the challenge.
before you were so rude to me, i was gonna send you some pics of my house so you can see color combos, but now I changed my mind.

I'm only rude because you won't let me in those XXXL pants of yours.

I honestly wouldn't touch it. Unless you were replacing the blue/yellow with a brushed silver/metallic look, with stone countertops and hardwood floors. Now that would look pimp.

wood floor or colored cement floor, stainless appliances, granite countertops, glass and wood cabinet doors and shelves, a small portable island with a stainless potrack and a small plasma tv.

Replace plasma with lcd, and mount it on a swivel so you can watch it wherever you are.

Who do I look like Gotmilk? I'm on a budget here.

easiest solution...

fire insurance + strategically placed xmas tree + 1955 style xmas lights, 12 into one outlet should do it.

Add cat and let sit for 20 mins before adding water.

Why is the dishrack on the dining room table?

Where is it suppose to go?

:) I moved it to show more wall in the picture for me to experiment with. I was too lazy to get the dishes out of the way though.

dude, that's coral and seafoam.
jeez.

MSpaint doesn't allow me to display coral and seafoam....that was what I really had invisioned.

Yeah yeah yeah, and white is eggshell or tortilla or some kinda crap. Wemins!

We know it would have looked good. Those wemin should stick to dishes and laundry.

Okay I have the majority of this completed after working the entire weekend.

Question...

What color should the trim be marked by the arrow in the pic below? Gray to match the tiles/wall color, or white to match the ceiling/appliances ?

That was my plan also. My GF said white.

I am always right and the sooner she realizes this the better off we'll be :)

Anyways, I will finish this project this week and post pics. It is looking very nice thus far.
