apparently dave was having a moral dilema by the racial skits he did,particularly the black blind dude who thought he was white.

he says he wasnt socially responsible and that some people dont understand what he was doing and using it as fuel for racism

apparently people from his camp tried to convince him that his stress was a mental issue,they tried to get him to use drugs to control it etc, and he thought about leaving for a while then just got up and left before the show fucked him over

Interesting. I don't think there is anything wrong with laughing at yourself. There are truths in all stereotypes.

I completely understand about being socially responsibile. However, not everyone is going to get it. I don't think that's a good reason to alter what you are good at doing. You can't please and educate everyone.

i agree nyc,but I guess for him it was more something forced on him that he wasnt comfortable doing then it being his original ideas
