Hey,

How is everybody? It's been a while since I checked in here. I hope everybody has been doing well as I haven't been able to get over here due to life being a little hectic for me. Here is a rundown of what has been going on:

My Son:
I uploaded some current pictures of him. He is my world. I found out that I didn't really know what love was until I had him. I loved my Grandfather, Mother and Father, but it really doesn't compare to the love you feel for your own Child. Ben is a great kid. He is always smiling, laughing, getting into things and is all boy. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without him. Please check out the pictures if you would like to see how much he has grown.

My Personal Life:
I have tried to reconcile with my wife the past 4 or 5 months. It's been a long road and I feel like I am treading water there. Sometimes it's good, but most times I am indifferent to what our relationship has become. I don't know what the hell I am doing here, but I am giving it one final shot.

Training:
Training has been nothing the past 6 months or so. I really haven't made the time like I would have in the past. I am just getting back in this morning and am going to take a couple weeks for my tendons to adapt again to the stress of training. I don't want to rush in and go balls out or I know I will hurt something as I am getting OLD. I missed it so much, but really, the time is not there.

School:
I am taking 6 credits this semester. I seem to be doing rather well so I am not as dumb as first thought. I took the NET (Nursing Entrance Test) last week and if I passed it, I should be slotted in to start the beginning of 2008 so I am pretty happy about that. Keep your fingers crossed that I passed though. If I can get in at my school that will be great, if not my gpa is good enough to get in at another university.

Job:
Okay, here is the crappy part. Ford is not doing well at all. I am going to take the buyout plan that is being offered. They are giving me 27.5K, 15K for tuitition and full bennies for my family and I for 4 years. The pay and tuition stipend is also for 4 consecutive years. I hate working there as I feel I have wasted 10 years of my life there. It's time to move on and be able to enjoy my son. I have worked nights for the past year and am missing out on so much. I will not miss another Halloween again with him. I have to call and get updates on what new things he has been doing and saying. The buyout starts I believe in Jan. I will have to work full time at another job and also take at least 12 credits, but I can do that and still see my son. It's a tough decision, but I feel the right one.

My Usual Day:
8AM Get up when Michelle leaves for work to take care of Ben
8-10 Play with Ben and get him ready for sitters
1030 Drop Ben off at sitters
11-130pm Class
130-300pm Study or get something to eat.
3pm Leave for work
4-130am Work at Ford
2am Get home
230am Ben usually gets up for a bottle so I feed him.
300am Get to sleep
8am Up with Ben again.

So you see, I don't really have a lot of time to get over here. Weekends I tend to study or catch up on a little sleep. I am going to start fitting training in on the the 130-300pm session when I can. At least the weekends for sure.

I miss hanging out over here. You all made me feel like I was included and I still feel regret that I didn't meet most of you when you flew out to see Tre's competition. I am still sorry for that as I would have liked to have met all of you.

I hope Bunny, scorpiogirl, GG and all the rest of you are doing amazing. I will try and get over here on the weekends as I have a lot of catching up to do. BTW, isn't Tcake looking incredible? I am so proud of her. What a special person she is too.

Thanks for listening. I miss you all,
Chuck

Hey C -- Glad to see you back! Looks like you've been very busy with some life decisions. I've been only in the gym on weekends since I started back to corporate life 3 weeks ago -- shit , I'm typing this from my office at 11:25 am on a Saturday. How F'd is that? (Another story). But its a job.

Glad to see you! Look forward to some more drops by the ladies room ;)

Heyyyyyyy Chuck!! Glad to hear you're doing (mostly) well....glad you checked in!! I hear ya on the Ford thing - but there is life after the auto industry!! I'm a survivor of one of the Big Three myself and it sounds like you're getting a good buyout!

My lease is up on my Explorer tho and I wish Ford was making better deals on their trucks.... :(

Hey! Nice to see you around again! Sounds like life it a little crazy, I sure understand how that goes! Don't be shy come visit us more!

Thank you. It has been too long since I have been over here. I hope things are going well for all of you.

Aww C-dawg! Hang in there!! Did Caker update her pics yet?! Not with us I don't think! From the sound of it she is doing awesome, I am sure she looks it too.

About training... your life is full of busy busy busy.. that hour or so set aside for you may be good to fit in down the road so you can have YOU time.. even if it seems like you can't fit it in your mind may appreciate it.

You're a good man great friend & good father Chuck. Hang in there.
