arent they great? no, not really. now let me say that this isnt a whine post, but rather an observation.
lets look at common things that everyone goes through in the process of finding a relationship.
1. dating to find that someone.
2. suffering through the assholes, sluts, bitches, players, cynics, the damaged, and other afflictions.
3. once you get to this point, you have to start the little power games. when to call, what to say, what not to say, being funny, being interesting, keeping the date moving at a decent clip, bullshitting the other person, trying to weed through the bullshit, wondering if theyre cheating and with how many ppl ect.
4. then you got to keep it together,
im sure we all get the point.
my question is why the hell for? to be sure we do some of the above for physical activities. but why do we subject ourselves to this time after time, and year after year? doesnt this wear ppl down?
and whats in a relationship?fucking, going places together, talking, learning about each other, stress, hurt feelings, playing with each others emotions, power games, ect ect.
i get the need to reproduce, physical attraction and shit like that, but long term things, isnt it a bit unnatural? but its what everyone hopes for. everyone wants to have someone to 'love' , to grow old with. but the reality is the %57 percent of ppl end up getting divorced. and is this or not a lil bit influenced by the fact that after a certain age, we start to lose ground in the dating game? esp women. i think thats a reason why they act all fucked up at times, is that they really need to get it out of there system, and hook into one before shit starts going south. after all those years of using mens visual mindset to there advantage, they understand all too well what lies ahead. and older men get the gold diggers or the girls with inflated opinions of themselves. nope, we grab on and when one starts to let go, all they have to do is let them get a good look at what there up against, so they settle back into place.
anyway, what do you think?
