I find this ironic given what simple thought's you had expressed in this thread.

You want to know what I think of suicide? It's beyond a selfish cry for help. It's about the sickest goddamn thing you could do to other people. Suicide is worse than "an easy way out." It is one of the most evil things one could put your survivors through.

However, the ACT of suicide and the MOTIVATION for it are sperate. I do not pity the act of self killing. But I do have a sense of love for my fellow human beings which compels me to pity those who feel such despair that they contemplate suicide.

The threat of suicide is indeed selfish in nature. It is a cry for help. However, the act of belittling those who cry for help is beyond self centered. It is evil.

The problem is..we don't know Parabola, well at least I don't. We don't know how old he is, what his life experiences are and how he has handled things in the past. I can surely understand the "tough love" approach, but, when you don't know what you are dealing with it's best to be cautious.

People who commit suicide have no idea of the pain and sorrow they leave behind all due 100% to their act. The true irony, however, is that when one is severly depressed they cannot see anything except the pain they are experiencing. Moreover, they even begin to think that killing themselves will actually help the ones they love. So it's a difficult situation to say the least.

That's exactly why people take something like this so seriously. Giving the benefit of the doubt is the only mature, sane way of approaching it. That's why it doesn't surprise me that boneheads like those two just don't get it.

I disagree. Severe depression and anxiety can result from AS. In that case what do you do, send them away to the chat board to chat? That's funny, I bet the ones recommending rediculously huge cycles would be the first ones to send them away when in need of help. That's BS! If he's a bro on here talking suicide then he should be listened to until helped no matter where they are. You never, ever send someone away when they're talking suicide. You don't know that?

Anyone he takes the time to give advice to should consider themselves fortunate. He, and many other EF Brothers, have helped me through some tough times.
