Refusing a full strip/anal cavity search while trying to return to the US.. legality?

This is kinda relevant here, because it affects gear brining and what not.

So I'm flying back to the states via Delta. And Delta has this color code threat thing going. And I think because of my travel history, I may be code Orange. Which means you get searched like a motherfucker.

And I'm envisioning myself at JFK, and hearing, "Spread them cheeks, boy, and relax, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. I like the hard way."

And I'm just not getting naked for US customs, and no one's finger is going into my ass. Fuck that, it will never happen. I know people that have been strip searched coming back from Russia, and I'm not gonna be.

So I wanna know... what will happen, as a US citizen, if I refuse to take off my boxers when I get searched? Assuming nothing has been found illegal, and they want me to drop my shorts, and I say hell no, what happens?

Some people are telling me I'll be sent back to Russia... but I just can't imagine this happening. I'm a US citizen.

What will happen?

i am not certain if this would apply with customs or not but i know the police in the states cannot give a cavity search until you are officially an inmate of the state.

what makes you think they will want to strip search you if they haven't found anything illegal?!?!

They do them randomly now. Only with Delta's new program, they amass data on you, and categorize you according to a threat level. They use all kinds of data to determine your threat level. Because of where I've traveled, the fact that I own an AK-47, etc. I think I'm not a green passenger. I think I'm an orange passenger.

Which increases my chances of doing a strip tease for INS many times over.

Also, last month a friend was strip searched on this very flight for no good reason. Its random now. Only by the time I fly, with the coding system going on... its not random anymore.

I just wanna know what my rights are in that situation. They sure aren't gonna tell me.

This seemed like the place to ask.

My friend is from Venezuela, where lots of drugs from Colombia are transported to before they're smuggled into the US. Women are often used to smuggle the drugs in because they believe they're less likely to get searched, but airport security is wise to the trick. She was ordered to strip, and got into her underwear, then they told her to take it all off and she refused. She insisted she was not going to take anything further off, and they let her go. This was in Houston, TX by the way.

I don't know how that helps you, they might not let you off so easily. You can try refusing, but they might throw you into one of the airport's jail cells. I bet you didn't know they had them did you? Well they can lock you up for a short time if you don't submit to their demands. It's often abused and is a huge violation of personal freedoms.

They can take x-rays now. No need for and invasive search. Not that big of a deal, you just have to sit in a special chair.

WARRANT

If they can demostrate probable cause, a warrant can be obtained, you will be taken into custody and sedated. A doctor then will administer the search.

At least have an enema before you travel, so this way their job wont be that nasty.

word. And if they stick a probe up there be sure there isn't TWO hands on your shoulders.
