Unbelievable. I'm not sure these two players should be considered the year's best. I never have been sure. They are great, but the nation's best?

When I think of the nation's best I think of Magic and Bird in 78 taking their respective teams all the way to the finals. Not fizziling in the sweet 16.

I wish I could remember the exact stat I heard this morning on JJ, but it was somewhere along the lines of:

His scoring avg dropped to around 13ppg in the tourney OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS! He has never scored 20 points in the tourney (or maybe it was in the last game of the tourney - when Duke gets bounced).

No doubt. Redick is another in a long line of Duke players who were 'stars' in college who will be nothing in the NBA. They were college stars because of their coach and their system. Once they hit the NBA and have to largely fend for themselves, flop.

There have been a few exceptions in the past few years but generally this has held true.

He's a shooter and that's it. He's a damn good one but he can't do anything else. He can't get his own shot, he isn't a good rebounder, he doesn't pass particularly well etc. etc.

Reddick can shoot threes....in college.....now he's gonna have to scoot back a few feet and drain threes with guys that are 6'8" in his face, what is he like 6'4" 175?? Dudes not gonna compete at the next level, is my bet.

Bautista did have an awfull big part in those last few minutes in the loss. But so did fuggin everyone else. GU should have been up 25 at half, but they have never this year and cant put teams away plain and simple. Hard to imagine Reddick and Morisson are done, gone.

LSU locked him down with a 6'5" freshman with long arms and an attitude. He shot like 3 for 18 - all threes, didn't get near the basket. How do you think he'll do with a real live NBA 2 guard up his ass?
