Recording studio on the computer!?!

I use to have a program that let you edit milliseconds of sound waves. It was a multitrack recording studio but I don't remember the name..

I am using Sony Acid Pro now but I want my old program!! Anyone know of some good ones? Needs to be multitrack

I think it was like cool edit pro or something?

no I don't like cakewalk.. I've never used cubase.. you got a link to that.. like a freeware / stolen version
