recommend recumbent for home exercise use

I am looking for a recumbent bike for home exercise use. Want to spend in the $100-$300 range. I would love to find some of the refurbished, gym quality ones for $300 or so, but all the ones I've seen are $500+

What are some good quality, home exercise brands and/or models that I can pick up (maybe at a local sportmart or Big5) in that price range?

I like the DiamondBack recumbent bikes (I'm biased, I own one), but they are pretty expensive. $700-1500 range.

call your local gyms. ask them to contact you when selling their equipment.

Another alternative might be to spend the cash on a half decent racing or mountainbike and use a bike trainer. That way you've got a bike to ride when the weathers fine and you can use the trainer when you want to stay indoors.
