recommend me a decent digital camera

Usually I would just take the safe option and get the best sony camera I could afford, but I feel like a change, recommend me one in the 2-300 dollar range if you please.

i tried cannon minolta olympus fuji kodiac all in the price range of 2 to 4 hundred and the sony dsc-p72 cybershot took the best pictures.

Canon Powershot A70, best one Ive used and seen. It runs at about $230-240. I have a more expensive digital camera and so does my sister and the A70 is better than both of them.
