Really tired of the insults being thrown...

around this board. Has it ever occured to some that people actually post here looking to actually have a conversation with someone?
For example, maybe Bmom just needed to talk to some people to help her get through the shitty day she may have had. Or it is late at night and someone just needs to talk to someone else for comfort. Yeah, this may be a virtual friendship or acquaintance, but people are still responding and what you say can have an impact on that person asking.
If none of us believed in this boad then why are we here? Why do we bother to actually post questions of importance, like I am thinking of getting divorced or joining the military? Even more lighthearted ones such as what kind of car to buy.
I have been rather dismayed at some of the responses I have seen lately. If you don't like a particular personality then don't respond to the thread, that simple.
I mean really, I am not the greatest person on this board by any means and I posted over the weekend what happened to me and made it a sticky just to get responses from a familiar crowd as I was stuck in shit hole USA! And with the exception of a legitimate question asking why the thread was made a sticky, everyone was very helpful.
That is what this board is for, not only to have fun, an occasional flame fest, but a place for people to come to for advice, etc. So, try to be more thoughtful when responding to a thread where the person is genuinely needing help/advice or just a response.
Otherwise, the threads get locked, people get banned, bad karma all around.
