really pissed off

went to doc (great relationship with him, anti-aging guy, offers me all the time). 1st time in 4 years ive been in for an illness - sort of - have a sore throat for 2 weeks now, no fever, no swollen glands, no yellow mucus, etc., but i do have allergies - very minor, never like this but i guess they are beginning to get worse.

i waited 2 hours to see him. he looks at my throat, says its alittle red, gives me a script for a z-pac and an allergy med.

what the f uck is that? not even supposed to give z-pacs without a confirmed strep throat.

i realize its more than likely allergies and my appointment was an no-brainer for him but come on, alittle reassurance its not something serious is all i want. wasted my f ucking time.

if you would have gone 2 weeks w/ strep you'd be in a lot more pain than just a sore throat. That stuff spreads like wild fire. Z pacs are used to fight infections and since strep is an infection it'd work anyways

take your z-pack and be greatfull he didnt wait for it to get worse.

alot of times what seems like allergy symptomes and starts out as such ends up turning into a sinus infection, or worse, like i got.

i had the same shit, and it turned yellow and white, and i went in when i was couging up blood and got meds cause of bronchitis.


IMO just take your z-pack and be happy that you dont have to wait for the infection to completely cripple you and fuck with your workouts

So tell me would you rather your doc take extra precaution and prescribe you step meds or tell you to sleep it off and drink plenty of water????
U will be thankful in 24 hours when your throat is not as sore!!!!
