According to court documents, authorities tracked a package containing two "kits" of HGH -- about a season's worth -- that was delivered at Grimsley's house on April 19. He failed a baseball drug test in 2003, documents showed.

Since when is 2 kits enough to get someone through a whole baseball season?

I also saw somewhere else that the reported street value was $4200. $2100 per kit? What the hell kind of gh kit costs $2100?

You know how the media "embelishes" the truth...

yea full o shit, just like the injectable anavar that they put on csi, i love that show too, but in one episode a guy was on gear killed his girl which they blamed on roid rage, they show a slin pin which they said had oxandrolone on it. lol. doc don't belee shit. this guy is a rat i hope he has to hide the rest of his life

I'm surprised you didn't comment about 2 kits being a "seasons worth"

$2100 kits....you can find Chinese GH kits for $2100 directly from Chinese vendors...you'd be surprised at some of the whacked prices.

I've seen vials of Enanthate for sale at $20 each and people still pay

first off i want to tell you guys that i used to go to u of a, all the ball players lived where i lived. they would get apt's at star pass where everyone lives, the street name is players club drive, look it up if you don't believe me. anyway if you went to the pool with any muscle at all the players especially no names would beg for juice. guys paid 3 bills for sydgroup winny and 150 for qv decas, and bought them by the garbage bag. they had no clue how bad they were being ripped or didn't care

I have semi professional friend that takes cycles similar to a bodybuilder and pays about half of his 4k per month $ to gettin shit. Baseball players are fuckin knuckle heads when it comes to that shit, all of them. I remember the minor league player last season that got busted for taking Winny and admitted to growth, they busted him up on 500 dbol and the press said he might be a source and had intentions to sell them, wow big time bust, shit must have been worth 3 g's if you ask the media.

yep manny ramirez used to buy his winstrol 50 vials at a time from my boy in clevelend. he used to rip him off so bad, it would pay the bills for the next year on one order. free seats behind the dugout too,

2 kits of GH would last me about a month tops-but for a baseball player using a wimpy 2iu's ED, it could last them all season. I highly doubt it would enhance their performance that much-especially if it's being taken alone w/o AAS. But the feds and the general public don't want to hear that.

They do the same price jacking thing for all drugs. A lb of ditch weed costs about $500-$600, but after broken down into 1/4 oz quantities for sale on the street that go for $30 each, it's final street cost is actually $1920(over 3x what it's worth in 1lb bulk). Selling 64 1/4 oz bags takes some serious work, but still the profits are there.

Another example is cocaine. An 1/8 oz (3.5 grams) costs about $120, but if broken down into grams it can be cut w/ B12 and sold for at least $450 or more in 4-5 street transactions. Imagine how much money you could make with a $1000 cash investment-and the wholesale price gets even lower with the more that that you buy.

The high $$$ figure is always the one the cops will go with to make it seem like our tax dollars are being better spent than they really are.

With these kind of mark ups on illegal drugs, I can't see why anyone would want to sell AAS. AAS has a much smaller market, and unless you're brewing your own there's not much $$$ to be made. Even if you do brew your own, how many guys are going to trust you to buy your black label version when they could score legit AAS from an actual Rx supplier for a similar price? Plus AAS suppliers face greater risk cuz most guys that get busted for AAS rollover on their supplier every time. Most AAS users are completely uneducated on what to do when they get busted and they worry more about their own ass moreso than any Scarface-type of retribution from the guy they copped from. Most AAS dealers aren't big time enough or even have the right connections to put a hit out on a rat.

I am hearing that they are planning to release some names of the people that were named. It is going to get ugly. I was told that he was dealing to all of his teammates on all the teams he played for.
I was also told you could see stats go up pretty quick with a lot of players once he arrived.
A lot of the names are "good guys"
It should get interesting.

I moved to AZ from IL in 1990 cuz all the gear I bought in IL came from the Phoenix/Tucson area.

And you're right about the drug laws. Is there another state that will throw you in jail for a weed pipe, along w/ a 2500 fine and 1 yrs drug testing? Up until a year or two ago-all bars and liquor sales ended at 1AM, 7 days a week. No exceptions. Now they're upon until 2AM-but on Sundays you can't purchase booze until noon. I guess they don't want anyone skipping church to get drunk? A DUI here will cost you $12K minimum and has a mandatory 2 wks jail time.

Our traffic laws here are Nazi too. I ride a sportbike and if you try to ditch the cops they'll shut down 2 freeways during rush hour and call in a helicopter to nab your ass. It's ridiculous. We even have photo radar on one of our freeways-in addition to most busy traffic intersections.

Still, the weather kicks ass except for the extreme heat in the summer. The chicks all have boob jobs and wear hardly any clothes. Most are skinny too-except for the single moms-which based on our welfare system, we have more of than any other state. It's only rained like 3 times in the past 220 days.

The best part of living in AZ for me over the yrs was everytime the local AAS black market took a hit, you always had the option to drive to Mexico weekly to take your gear and return home w/o breaking any laws. $3 Sostenon preloads anyone? Too bad those days are over.

Yeah they wanted him to wear a wire so atleast he wasnt a complete rat but he did drop names and we'll find out who on Thursday. 2 fuckin kits aint shit compared to Bonds hittin 2-3 kits per month damn. They arent fuckin around anymore, everyone's gettin it and the more names and shit they drop the less of a suspension and fine. Imagine if they had strict testing in NFL OMFG!

lol doesn't Illinois have some of the most lenient steroid laws as well? Some clown up in Glendale was gettin chased by helicopters and cops when he was riding a sport bike but he drove into the galleria parking garage and then took off his riding shit and ran into the mall and they didnt know who it was

I was in Phoenix for Christmass visiting relatives. I told my cousin "The next time I come here I'm bring a pistol." He said "Yea this is the place for it." And the next time my family and I go to Phoenix I will have a 1911 tucked real close to me.

Media has no clue what is going on...If someone gets busted they just throw some names and numbers together and write what the hell they want...they suck ass

Case in point. Luis Gonzalez. He has a HR avg of 24/year, BUT in 2001 he magically hit 57!!! This year he has 5...A fellow Diamondback. His mugshot will be plastered on newspapers soon.
