Read any good books lately?

Freddie de Lux

Darling...
Platinum
Right now Freddie is reading Trace, by Patricia Cornwell; Front Row, Anna Wintour's unauthorized biography; and Everyone Worth Knowing (Every Bit Not Worth Reading, but I'll finish it anyway).

Read last month: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil; Angels and Demons; Da Vinci Code (finally read that one and loved it), and Blink.

On my list (already purchased): The Kite Runner; Rich Dad, Poor Dad; and Trading Up (no, it's not about trading up 40 yo spouses for 2 of 20).

right now i'm reading an editor's copy of an autobiography that hasn't been named, and "On becoming an Artist", by Ellen Langer.
I also have "Choke" waiting for me.

i recently read "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris.. excellent book.

I read "Master and Commander the Far Side of the World" last month and it was a huge mistake. The book was awesome but it is # 10 of 20 books in the series so now I am going to start back at the beggining and read them all.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Yea...big rpoblem with books is that I read about 6 at a time. Kiss a few weeks free time goodbye.

The self employed always have dozens of things they really ought to do.

The regularly employed have things we should be doing too, but somedays it just doesn't work out.LOL

As fast as I read I can knock out one of the books every two days so I can manage it in just over a month. The problem is laying out the dough for 19 more books at ~$12 a pop, I don't like spending that much at a time on books.

I actually do want to own the series since I already have the one and it's something I'd like to possess. Otherwise yeah the library would be a perfect option. Though as sad as it is I have never been to the DPL and really should one of these days.

I read a couple of back issues of Consumer Reports
and wednesday's wall street journal
I'm behind

right now I am reading "The Bible as history" and enjoy how they explain every mirracle as natural happenings. Next are some books on the Bogomils, Freemasons, the Templars, the sacred ark of the covenant and few books from Koontz, Patterson and Saul

periodicals is where it's at
they trail the internet by 2 months or so
but they can introduce ideas and/or avenues you wouldn't otherwise consider
that stuff in books
I know all that already

Freddie is too high class for you to be talking to him.

Very reprehensible, Darling! Angel is simply, well, an Angel! Love that you put me on a pedestal though. It's the Freddie mystique!
