It just doesn't make sense for the Vikings
Randy moss has 43 touchdowns in 43 games and 226 receptions in three seasons. No reciever has more touchdowns or receptions over the same period of time.
However, the vikings had the second worst rated defense in the league and gave up 41 points to the Giants (the fucking Giants) in last years NFC championship game.
He is getting an 18 million dollar signing bonus which most of that counts against the cap this year, that would fund most of a defensive line. So for every one touchdown he gets they are going to allow three.
Also, who else is on that team offensively, Chris Carter for one more year, and Culpepper for three more-that is about it, Robert Smith retired. So if I am a defensive coach against the opposing team, I run a 3-4 alignment and double team Randy, and we will see how far that 75 million goes.
And basic stats people...let us say there are 50 offensive plays, he will get the ball thrown to him maybe 15-20 times (maybe)...if he gets 10 catches he is having a good game, which means he is contributing about 20% percent of the time, the other 80% he ISN'T blocking like he should and he ISN'T completing his routes, how many times did he get called out on Sunday Night Blitz, or on Sportscenter...
It isn't the money that is the problem, it is the position and the team around him that is the problem
